Hey guys, I just stumbled onto this amazing revelation.  Skyrim is a role-playing game with a large number of skills and features to provide players with many different playstyles to get them through the game!  Note the word "many" there.

I'm playing as a two handed sword carrying warrior type guy.  Here's mine:

Lvl 20
Enchanting - 31 (no bonuses)
Smithing 56 (all that I can)
Heavy armor 49 (3/5 Juggernaut, well fitted)
Block 33 (1/5 shield wall)
Two handed 62 (4/5 Barbarian, 2/3 deep wounds, champion stance, greater critical charge, devastating blow)
Health 240
Magicka 100
Stamina 185 (boosted)

Armor:
32 Dwarven Gloves 20% two handed damage
52 Helm 30% frost resist
Orcish armor (exquisite) 118
Orcish Boots (exquisite) 48
Weapon: Orc Great Sword(superior) 59 Damage with Burn target for 10 damage.

Thoughts?
Gone.

Nice. Why have fun, when you can just press X to win?

Who made you lord of the universe and able to declare that pressing the the X to win isn't fun?

So what graphical settings affect the FPS the most? I recently installed a few HD graphics mods and my fps dropped quite a bit (amd 6950, 4gb ram, 3.6Ghz CPU). Any suggestions?

Epic fighting cutscenes are epic. Especially when you are not using magic.

So I started a new character.  A Cat mage.

Can someone explain to me why, on Master, I'm killing things easier with Dual Flame and cloth than I ever did was a two handed sword fighter with heavy armor?

I just started a new mage character today and I had that exact thought. I heard it gets crappy in the late game though.

Well based on the cast time of a fire storm, I'd say yeah.  But that's why you enchant for X% more destruction damage. Keep those flame spells going.

Late game mage gets Ion Cannon. Ion Cannon frowns upon all enemies and smites them accordingly.

You can only enchant to reduce mana cost on spells. Which is pretty handy in itself, since you can get completely mana cost free spells on two schools at a time, but it also means there's no scaling whatsoever on destruction damage, making it inevitably pretty bad.

There are mods that fix that if you're on PC, though.

But I guess that's why you use paralysis (if that's a spell).  Or companions.

Yeah, it's a spell. So is Mass Paralysis. Best offensive spell in the game, en mi opinion.

So mass paralysis +  long cast time destruction spells = win?

Can you stealth while casting?  Or does the start of casting break invisibility and stealth?

It breaks invisibility, but enemies won't notice you if you have the quiet casting perk and you're out of sight.
