I'm still waiting for some DLC here.  I want to know if they're going to do anything about those huge empty landmasses in the game.

No, he probably doesn't mean that. Have you played the game? You can't walk 50m without running into some sort of cave, bandit camp, settlement, landmark, or other such nonsense.

I thought they put in those details just for the added touch of realism, as opposed to dealing with empty white space.  I really can't see them incorporating the rest of Tamriel through DLC.

They did say that in a later interview after the discovery of the landmasses, but didn't say they WOULDN'T make Morrowind/Cyrodiil.  At least it's a base for modders to make shit though.

I've just started playing. Any tips for a noob?

I've started reading the thread only to realise a few pages in that FES folks really do have a great habit of derailing them.
Why do we fall back to earth? Because our weight pushes us down, no laws, no gravity pulling us. It is the law of intelligence.

Level up smithing and enchanting. They're the two most important skills at your disposal.

No, level sneak and magic. Invisibility+high sneak=dangerous. They can't kill you if they can't find you.

The point is though, enchanting is very useful for all play styles and smithing is useful for everything but pure mage. When talking about play styles, you're right, sneak is stupendously overpowered. I had to mod enemies to deal 16x the damage they normally do on master to make the game challenging again for my rogue.

Meanwhile, anyone NOT sneaking get's killed so easily that it makes you want to drop the difficulty down during half your fights.

I've got an Orcish Great Sword, Orcish armor at like level 20ish.  Dragons can kill me in two attacks.  It takes me and a companion at least a half hour to kill a dragon.  :(

Yeah, that's what I've been doing.

You know that first companion quest?  I got it at level 8.  Died by the first mob.
Tried it again as I leveled and now I can get all the way to the end guy and his dwarven Centurion and get killed by the steam in about 2 seconds.

I've got a long way to go. lol.

Idk, with destruction magic alone I could kill dragons in 4 hits or so when I was barely level 20 (that's before I even really got around to uber enchanting everything).  Maybe not so much equipment but your skill choice.

Well, that would be because destruction doesn't scale. That means it's powerful early on with the perks and all, but because the damage doesn't increase as the enemies get stronger, when you're level 50+ you'll have to be spamming spells so much that your mana pool runs out in seconds. That's where enchanting is, again, vital.

Without mods, destruction deals the least damage out of all play styles when considering all the possible legitimate upgrades.  It's good in the start where you won't have had much of a chance to really increase your damage output on your melee and archery skills, but it quickly becomes obsolete apart from its stunlock ability.

The master spells are pretty unstoppable, if you have enough magika. Especially the lightning.

>takes fucking forever to charge up
>can't move while using it

YEP, THAT'S UNSTOPPABLE ALRIGHT

That's just asking to get assraped if you're playing on anything other than babby tier difficulty (i.e. not master)

You can also kill ancient dragons with it in several seconds.

Also, I suggest leveling up your illusion. For the most part it's completely useless, but it'll level you up a bunch of times.

Ancient dragons can also kill you in one second if you happen to be hit by their flames.

It's useful as fuck for stealthy characters, invisibility + quiet casting perk = never get seen by anything ever

I said for the most part. Any character worth using the non-stealth spells against is immune to them, other than Mass-Paralysis.
