Peach wishes she had a stick made out of fishies to give to you. Sadly, she does not.

(I ran into M'aiq the Liar last night in Skyrim.  I was most happy to see him.)

I saw M'aiq the Liar the first time I played, just outside Whiterun.  Don't know his significance, though, Skyrim is the only Elder Scrolls that has genuinely held my attention for a great while.  I liked Morrowind but could only ever play it in a few hour bursts a few times a year, and always ended up just starting over each time because I forgot what was going on.  Just didn't like Oblivion, and never played Daggerfall (Though I may once I finally get bored with Skyrim and get THIS (I've already played some of Dark Forces with it, and shit is so cash.  Lucius is the shit)).  shrug
Nomad is a superhero.

The only main side-quest I did was the Companion storyline. I got a sweet 2-handed axe that I used the entire game to smash faces with. My friend was busy upgrading his armor and doing random little chores while I was slaying dragons and giants. After beating Alduin, it just seemed redundant to go back out and do dumb little side quests. I wish my character had died from a wound after killing Alduin so I could have stayed at Sovngarde and feasted on roast boar and ale while singing songs of the glory days.

I was like level 11 and one came after me on the 7,000 steps.  I killed it.  Didn't find it that difficult.

You kill frost trolls by walking up to them and letting them swipe at you, move out of the way and then swing at them while they're recovering.

Or you can just stealth kill them.

It's pretty fucking broken in this game. I'm one-shotting giants on Master without any difficulty whatsoever.

It's not like you can't change that. You can be everything at once.

Character advancement as an in-game mechanic is not meta-gaming, asshole.

It is if not driven by the character that has been created and instead is driven by choices made exploiting game mechanics your character has no way of knowing about.

And so you mean that there is no way at all for a paladin to have a fall from grace? Your roleplaying is weak, sir. Weak!

Or a dark paladin.
Or a Paladin who is only playing the part to get the power but has a dark heart inside that he's hidden all these years.
Or a thief/assassin who is trying to mend his ways but finds his old skills keep coming up in his new path.
Gone.

Naw, I'm sticking to my Dunmer Battlemage guy and been focusing mostly on destruction and one-handed, with a little light armor.  Been sticking more with mage than battle lately, but still have a couple pretty sweet axes to kill shit with (skyforge steel waraxe and an orcish waraxe).  Need to figure out this enchanting business.

Is there a way to enchant something with soultrap so I don't have to use the spell myself to fill my soul gems?  Was nice (though maybe arguably gamebreaking) in Morrowind being able to do that.

Yes, you can enchant weapons with the Soul Trap spell effect.

There's a perk in the conjuration tree that lets your bound weapons soul trap targets.

Yeah, limiting your character to strict class definitions is WoW-level roleplaying i.e. complete shit.

I'm into role playing the lady wood elf and spend all my time getting stuff for the crib, arranging food on the table, and making pretty armour and jools.

And yes, I've got a soul trap on a bow and carry around the Dark Star for lowly, squalid bandit souls.
