beardo is a wise man. And anyway, I could make awesome enchanted clothing and then use oak/stone/iron/ebonyflesh.
Here's an explanation for ya. Lurk moar. Every single point you brought up has been posted, reposted, debated and debunked. There is a search function on this forum, and it is very easy to use.

Also, my current equipment provides the following:

165 armor rating
-104% magicka cost on Destruction spells
-20% magicka cost on Restoration spells
+180% one-handed damage
+84 carrying capacity
+50 magicka
+56 health

With shield:

+56 health
+45% damage blocked

And my weapon:

+52 shock damage
+52 fire damage
+26 magicka damage

tl;dr, enchanting is cool.

Gawd.  I can barely kill anything.  If I can't sneak by it, I die for the most part.  I did find a place to stash my stuff at the Winterhold College Freshman Dorm.   :)

I need to play more.  :-\

I'm sorry. Am I to understand that when you have a boner you like to imagine punching the shit out of Tom Bishop? That's disgusting.

I can't do that right now. I can get an xbox pretty cheap, but to get a pc good enough for games will cost more than I've got to spend. I'll get a new pc eventually.

...or alternately you could spend an extra $100 to get yourself a PC instead and cut the cost of the Xbox entirely.

Skyrim doesn't require too much to run well. I'm not sure what other games you might play, though.

You're only making it more likely to happen.

Anyone know of any really interesting subplots I should do? Not the miscellaneous quests, but the quests that have their own titles.

No spoilers please. Just tell me the general idea and where to start it.

Well, the ones I enjoyed most were the Mage Guild and Imperial quests, which you start in Winterhold and Solitude, respectively. The Companions quests in Whiterun are also kind of interesting.

There's also that 'A Night to Remember' quest. It's started at any random inn, by talking to a guy called Sam Guevenne.
