My body may never be ready. However, I am mentally prepared for any physiological damage I might take.

Methinks it will be meh like Oblivion was. They should just do a remake of Morrowind with updated graphics.

Oblivion is certainly flawed, but it can still be entertaining.
Also, graphics are irrelevant.

They are.

I enjoyed Oblivion thoroughly, even though like Morrowind it was insanely easy to game the system into being all-powerful, like with my most-played character whom I have nicknamed Mr 100% Chameleon. It's not that catchy a name, I know. Anyway, I completed all quests with him. All of them. Erry day I'm backstabbin'. I'm actually hoping that Skyrim will have that too, because as soon as I run out of legitimate things to do to keep me entertained, powergaming can offer hours upon hours of more fun.

I could never get into Oblivion. It's still soaking up space on my hard drive.

I need someone to whip me into finishing it.

Don't finish the main quest. The end is suck. The end of the dark brotherhood and mages guild is better.

Oblivion is the first Elder Scrolls game I've played and I'm thouroughly enjoying it, haven't gotten too far yet as I got distracted by Driver: San Francisco which was hella fun!

Try Morrowind. It's a lot of fun and pretty cheap by now.

You might be disappointed at the main quest's ending. The end in itself is kinda cool and all and doesn't actually hinge on a big-ass boss battle, which is nice, but after that, you just keep on playing. Literally nothing changes, with the exception that sometimes people call you a fancy title. You still get flung in jail for stealing cutlery and you start guild quests at entry level even though you've more or less proven that you are a better fighter than anybody in the land.

I'm only at Lv.4 at the moment and ambling vaguely along with the main story while being distracted by side-quests. I love the fact that you can be drawn into a quest completely accidentally, like going for a sleep on that boat-hotel and waking up to find it's been hijacked and sailed out to sea.

Not a fan of the levelling system, though, just running and jumping levels you up, making the enemies harder even though you don't have great fighting skills.

You may become a victim of over-levelling soon. As a principle, I never choose major skills that I can't control the levelling of, and I often go with a no-levelling build where I pick skills I don't use as major skills. It's not necessary to do this though, since it gets boring to only fight lower-level enemies through the entire game.

I merely hope that Skyrim is actually fun to explore.  That was my biggest problem with Oblivion.  The game world is about as interesting as any other generic action RPG.

I have it pre-ordered and my work just happened to give me 11/11/11 off. They might have potentially killed me because I'm going to drunk so many energy drinks that day to stay awake.

That happened to me when i preordered Fallout 3 on amazon.  :(  I learned from that mistake and preorder my stuff from gamestop so I can get it same day.  Though I've only ever preordered FO3 and DNF.

I thought about that but decided otherwise because I didn't believe I'd ever become silly waiting for a game release.  That was a mistake.

I can't get myself to play through Morrowind. I've been too spoiled by audio dialogue that I can't stand reading all the dialogue in Morrowind. Feels bad man.

You should try being less stupid. Morrowind has the best writing of the series so far, and you don't have to endure terrible voice acting, as in Oblivion.
