I'll be back to this tomorrow
By eliminating all present contradicting possibilities you would arrive at the present truth. It's impossible to arrive at a future truth.

Identical twins.
Is seeing clones the same as seeing cloning technology?

Cloning technology = genitalia.

Did people see genitalia before it was made? Since clearly Thork's answer just goes to show "cloning technology" is already around. It just moves the question back to whether or not genitalia were seen before they were made.

I find this hilarious. Are you guys aware that you're debating a complete non-issue there, basically arguing about semantics? I strongly hope that the reason you're here is to hone and challenge your debating skills, in which case you still have a long way to go, and that none of you actually feel that this discussion is important.

If it's not about the sheer enjoyment of debate, you might ask yourselves what goal you are pursuing. As a flat earth theorist, it would seem reasonable to look for actual, convincing evidence in favor of your theory and personally use this evidence to inform the masses and fight against the global conspiracy enslaving our world. As a round earth theorist, it would seem reasonable to simply declare flat earth theorists hopeless fools and move on with your life. After all, nobody takes them seriously anyway so no political or other threat originates from them. Either way, debating on this forum wouldn't get you anywhere, it would merely be a waste of time. That is, unless you only look at it as a sort of pastime, intellectual challenge or debating practice.

So I'm going to assume that this is actually what this is, in which case, please step up your game guys. And remember, a debate is not about establishing who is right and who is wrong, it's about defeating the opponent. Of course, this is a bit ungratifying online since the opponent can simply stop replying if he doesn't know what to say anymore. You'll never see the baffled look on his face even if you won. I guess it's a little like looking at porn all the time without being able to orgasm. Must be a pretty exhausting experience.

Of course I see the irony that if all of you are wasting your time here, so am I by writing the post. The truth is, though, I don't have much else to do at the moment and find this amusing enough to post.

If what you have said is true, how bad at debating are you? Assuming that we only come here to debate, you are debating against someone who is arguing the earth is flat. You decided to pick the side arguing that it is round in order to "defeat your opponent". My God, what if you lose? I mean, you'll leave here claiming all the flat-earthers are idiots, but they are arguing with one arm tied behind their backs.

Of course this is all semantics and you are the one leading the thread away from its original purpose. You have come to the flat earth society. Why are you surprised that people here believe the earth is flat? There are almost 7 billion people on earth. Where are those who think the earth is flat, likely to turn up?

The flat earthers here are trying to let you all know you are being fooled. They can only present the evidence. If you won't even examine it and discard it because you are only here to win debates ... then you will leave this site as ignorant as when you found it.

Well, I never said that I came here to debate, did I? I made observations about what others were doing for my own amusement. I've reached my goal, as I'm greatly amused.

If you want a debate there is a whole other section in this fora devoted to that.  This section, however, is for general discussion and I am glad we can be of amusement.  Please also consider that there are also serious believers here, among some devil's advocates.

That is debatable.  Some of the posters here claim that none of you really believe in what you are saying; you are only looking for a debate.  These individuals also say that you only claim to believe in a flat Earth in order to see how much you can stretch the truth, feed the miss-truths, and find out were the breaking point is for normal people who try to discuss the facts they were taught in school.

Wait, isn't this the definition of trolling?

Show me some proof of your claims.  This is what I have observed.

You say they can't grasp a simple concept, yet your theory changes with every FEr that posts.  It is not simple, other than saying that the Earth is flat.

It seems obvious to me that many, but not all, of the individuals who post on the side of the FET are only doing so to stir the pot.

The ethics of cloning is an extremely controversial issue. The term is generally used to refer to artificial human cloning; human clones in the form of identical twins are commonplace, with their cloning occurring during the natural process of reproduction.

Thork, look up the word "technology". Things that occur naturally without any human intervention are not ttechnology, are they?

You're proving my point. As I've said several times, specifically to you, we don't have a unified theory because we can't get grant money and thus can't test anything.

Some proof of our claims:

Bedford level experiments
Appearance of flatitude
Obviousness of NASA lies.
Every single important mythology (i.e. Greek, Egyptian, Christian, Islamic, Buddhist, Hindu, etc.)

Some proof of our claims:
Bedford level experiments
This was done by a guy with a religious agenda back in the 1800s because he didn't like how modern science "opposed the scriptures". Since then it has been repeated by the president of the FE society, who would have no reason to be biased...
All reputable scientists accept that this has been thoroughly debunked.

Quote
Appearance of flatitude
Is this something to do with farting? If you mean flatness, then appearance of flatness is not proof of anything. A flat Earth would look flat. A large spherical Earth would look flat. Looking flat is absolutely meaningless.

Quote
Obviousness of NASA lies.
Can you just make a statement like this and expect it to constitute proof? That's like me saying that the inane babbling that goes on on these fora is proof of a spherical Earth.

Quote
Every single important mythology (i.e. Greek, Egyptian, Christian, Islamic, Buddhist, Hindu, etc.)
What makes any mythology more important than others? What makes any mythology meaningful when it comes to ascertaining scientific facts? Some Christians believe that when a priest says some magic words over a piece of bread it turns into a piece of hybrid god-human meat that is fit for human consumption. Does that make it true?

Also, regarding Greeks:
http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2004-01-18/open-space/28330110_1_radius-earth-stadia
Why on Earth would he have thought that the Earth was round if he didn't have "the man" feeding him BS all the time?

Any other mind-boggling proofs?

Greek cosmological error began with the Pythagoreans who believed the earth to be a sphere because it was the perfect shape.

That's actually not an error. In as much as any shape can be considered "perfect", a sphere is the most logical candidate as it is the one which exhibits greatest strength under a number of physical forces, and hence they frequently form naturally, e.g. bubbles, and blobs of liquid in a low gravity environment, like the Earth when it was forming. The Pythagorean's theory of why the earth was a sphere is reasonably correct.
