WolframAlpha.com

I thought this website deserved a thread. I think it is phenomenal.

Its like a search engine but does doesn't take you anywhere. It just gives you answers. The answers it gives though are pretty good.

Mathematically it is awesome. I asked it to intergrate 2x(x2+1). It does it. Much quicker than a calculator or something.

I asked it where venus would be on 18th March 2013.

Geneology

or compared stuff

I don't usually spam about a website but I thought being a science forum lots of you guys might find it helpful. Especially its math capabilities.

You can go straight to the site or there are a bunch of add-ons for chrome and firefox. Its not finished. its shit at history and sport and has a real blind spot for earth's shape, but other than that I thought I'd mention it. Its also supposed to be very good for nutrition so the ladies might like it. :-* Hey ladies.

Extra things i asked
Where am i?
lawyer
next solar eclipse

If you play with it and find something awesome that it does, please post for me. :D

It's an amazing website.  I use it for school (researching statistics, doing calculus, etc.) all the time.

Ask it what the "airspeed of an unladen African swallow" is... or "what is my favorite color".

Ask it "why did the chicken cross the road?"    Srsly. ;)
Why do we fall back to earth? Because our weight pushes us down, no laws, no gravity pulling us. It is the law of intelligence.

I use it when I'm too lazy to solve algebraic equations for my maths assignments. Great site.

While it is conceptually a fantastic piece of software, it is unfortunate that its inner workings are hidden and it is available only as software-as-a-service. It is for this reason that I abstain from its use in the name of technological freedom.

You mean "free software." Freeware is a class of proprietary software that may be legally obtained without payment.
