Feminism is okay. The extremists are annoying, but are too crazy to get any support for their chauvinistic ideals.

Let's separate the ideas.  To most people, feminism now connotes applying unequal opportunity to obtain a so-called equality of outcome.  Now me, I just prefer equality of opportunity and equality under the law because if some preference is bestowed on one person, there's another person getting the old shaft and denied his/her/its rights of equality under the law and equality of opportunity; this is self-evident to me.  Can't have it both ways and equality of outcome can't be had or even come close without heavy government coercion.  Of course, this gives me the label "non-progressive" and I can expect angry pickets in front of my house.

I agree with this. Discrimination based on actual competence at the thing being discriminated for is entirely acceptable. For example, I don't want to have to work with idiots who I constantly have to clean up after (figuratively speaking) who got the job because they are female/black/disabled/whatever.
I'm going to side with the white supremacists.

I suspect the problem is the desire to over compensate in order to achieve desired equality.

Isn't that what I said?

I looked.  No replies apperared to my post so I deleted what I decided was somewhat bad-mouthing.  Thusly I restore it as I see posts passed each other in the ether.

Yes.  Give me the job on merit or forget it.  Sexism does exist as my girl cousin found out.  She graduated med school with high grades and president of the class but got the shaft on her residency choices.  She's about crazy now, working in D.C.* and ready to chuck her career.  One case though, hard to see a pattern, I realize.

I don't.  She believes it was.

Edit: I should add that she's a surgeon and that category does have the reputation of preferring males.  True?  probably hard to pin down definitively.

So are men better than women?

Not at doing the laundry and making dinner.

There is no conclusive evidence that the picture shows a man.

If I was asked to imagine a perfect deity, I would never invent one that suffers from a multiple personality disorder. Christians get points for originality there.

Incorrect.

Women don't pull their pants up around their armpits.
