I am celebrating by installing Debian GNU/Hurd as a virtual machine on my old computer, obi-wan. The benefit of using a virtual machine is having Linux's hardware support.

I've been watching some of the live video stream from DebConf11. It's making me want to start using Debian again -- it might be technically inferior to OpenBSD in many respects, but it has a much better community and philosophy.

Not Linux though, fuck that. I'll be trying to repair my installation of Debian GNU/kFreeBSD.
