A lot more violent and gory than I expected. Especially when that weird wolf like death eater was eating a little girl. Not to mention the violent death of Snape.

Snape cried like a bitch.
I saw a slight haze in the hotel bathroom this morning after I took a shower, have I discovered a new planet?

And how would you feel when being bitten by a big ass snake 5 times?

Spoilers:

I enjoyed it.  The plot stumbled a few times (like when Harry died, saw Dumbledore for some reason, then was alive again, but nobody noticed it), but overall well done.

Idk but the last thing I would say when I die would be something other than "you have your mom's eyes!"

I enjoyed it and the 2.5 hours went by fast.  Saw it in IMAX 3D but didn't get much kick out of the 3D effect.

Well, when you make a movie based on a book with glaring plot holes, the same glaring plot holes are bound to show up in the movie.

I wouldn't say it was a glaring plot hole....
He died because he had two souls in his body.  (Well, 1 and 1/7th souls)  The 1/7th soul piece is what actually died.  Harry's soul, however, was free to choose either life or death.  He chose life.

Are you seriously trying to contradict my assertion of "glaring plot holes" by posting that?  I read the book.  I know what the explanation given was, but that doesn't change the fact that it makes no sense even by the books' own standards.

Glaring plot holes?

I don't know how many of them were carried over to the movies, but the last book was full of them.  Or maybe not so much plot holes, but general inconsistencies, out-of-character behavior, and the like.  The biggest thing that annoyed me was the fact that most of the heroes' decisions on what to do are based on random guesswork and vague hunches, not solid information, and yet every single one of their guesses are dead on target.  For example, Harry did not know that there was a Horcrux at Gringotts.  He pulled that idea straight out of his ass.  But sure enough, a Horcrux was there.  Also, at the end of the book, Harry did not know that he was the "true master" of the Elder Wand.  He randomly guessed that he was.  In fact, the idea that disarming people would be enough to "conquer" their wands is a direct contradiction of the previous books, where people get disarmed all the time but still retain control of their wands.  But sure enough, Harry was the true master of the Elder Wand.

I always understood the Elder Wand thing as being specific to the Elder Wand, because it's a special wand.

I should read the book again.

The seventh book was a huge letdown in general. The only reason I'd consider seeing the seventh film would be for Emma Watson, which is also the only reason I've seen each film other than the first one.

She's 12 in the second one. Nonce.

No, Harry "conquers" Draco Malfoy's ordinary wand just by disarming him.

Ollivander rationalizes that by mentioning that wands will still choose their master.

Also, a wizard did it.

Dead people come back as ghosts (only sometimes), magic is everywhere, dragons smash london buildings, etc...

And you're worried about wand lore?

Yes I know but that's one of your plot holes.  I'm simply saying that the whole book is about magic.  A lot of crazy shit is possible in the Harry Potter Universe.  I don't think they really break any of their rules and any that they do is simply "magic".

Dobby's carcass was definitely dug up by some animal within a few days of them burying him in sand at the beach.

I had this preying on my mind from the very outset.

That grave was fucking shallow. Really, if you're going to dig a grave, at least six feet, guys.
