is george lucas part of it too?

plus i dont see how harry potter has anything to do with it, if you've ever read it it's about wizards and i dont think it has ever mentioned the shape of the earth.

Ubuntu is neither an FEr or a DA, so he was being satirical, as was my response.

No, the Harry Potter concept is not specifically a part of the Conspiracy. The point is, the film uses the same computer "wizardry" (geddit?) as the Conspiracy uses to fake shuttle launches, pictures of the Earth from space and other anomalous information.

Except every single effect in the film is distinguishable as such.

Barely, and sometimes only in the sense that we know what appears to be happening is impossible. Also bear in mind that government/Conspiracy elements would probably be using resources well in excess of those of any filmmaker, and with much more to gain (and lose).

Once again, we run up against the fact that FE can explain away anything, in terms of the conspiracy.

I am reminded of a Stargate SG-1 episode; a businessman catches footage on his satellites of a battle between human and Goa'uld (bad guy aliens) spacecraft, and manages to clone an Asgard (good guy aliens), both of which he presents to reporters. The Air Force then puts a real Asgard on TV news, pretending to be a CG hologram, so that by association everyone will believe the businessman had only created a hologram as well.

What I do not understand is that it is possible to fudge videos (though not instantly, of course), but can we say the same about all the launches in the past 40 years? I really think not....

Now, I learned that NASA is spending 132Bn$ on some space station. I believe that they are rorting the government for whatever reason, but I believe that there is actually space up there....
