I don't care for the bars but I'm glad you can't smoke in restaurants. Way to fuck up the taste of everyone's food.

It's a slow ban on cigarettes and I couldn't be happier.  With any luck, tobacco industries will fall in the next 20 years.

The sooner the tobacco industry goes under the better.  It's costing the US a shitton in medical bills, so I don't see why people think the government is overstepping boundries by banning smoking.

Just got them today...Im slightly dissapointed.  The "smoke" is weak...a little weaker than I was expecting, and it tastes like you are sucking on one of those smoke machines you use at parties.  If im going to stick with it its going to take a serious adjustment.  Although I do feel the nicotine and it curbs the urge for an actual smoke after about 5 min of using it.  During though I still want a regular smoke.

Actually it's less dumb, because marijuana, cocaine and LSD are not as bad for your health and don't affect other people.

Also, with regard to banning smoking in bars and restaurants, I don't think a blanket ban is desirable. Rather, the government should afford legal protection to those restaurant owners who wish to ban it in their own establishments, but ultimately the decision should be up to the owner and not the lawmaker.

Don't be silly. Neither of those issues compare to passive smoking. Driving is an essential form of transport, and it isn't harmful unless you're sticking your face in the exhaust. Not a lot of people become aggressive when drunk, and those that do should know better than to become that drunk.

At the end of the day, smokers are essentially burning money while simultaneously killing themselves and annoying others in the room. Even if passive smoke were harmless (and you're right, it isn't that deadly), is it really such a bad thing to not smoke? Can't you use patches or something?
