How does a picture of the moon test anything?
I saw a slight haze in the hotel bathroom this morning after I took a shower, have I discovered a new planet?

Horatio and a mod (I don't remember who) decided that pictures of the moon are also dangerous.

Say what?  :o I don't see how that would be the case....
but anyways best of luck on your experiment.

I'm going to couple it with some sitting in the moonlight when I get something to read outside.

Ichi, I based my theory on your own excellent scientific studies. I think you will find that we are brothers in arms.
How dare you have the audacity to demand my deposition. I've never even heard of you.

Awake- 5:30
Asleep- 10:30

If you're only able to stay awake for five hours at a time, you've been exposed to too much moonlight already.

Asleep- 11:19 A.M.

I can see the moons harmful rays are playing havok with your body clock. I urge you to stop before you walk into traffic in a dazed stupor.

I think my Netflix account is getting in the way of this super serious experiment. I think I'm going to back out for fear of not taking advantage of my $7.99/month plan.

Good idea. I think this conclusively proves the energetic rays from moon shrimp DO cause harm.

For the sake of your health, I urge you to stop this experiment. While the pursuit of knowledge is important, no discovery is worth risking your life.

some (most) people are immune to moon light.
you have "evolved". no sense continuing the experiment.

Why do you always have 2 lunches?

I wake up at 5:30 for school and eat breakfast then, and my school serves lunch at 10:30. I'm hungry again by the time I get home at 3:00.

Personally, I commend the fortitude required to continue such a potentially dangerous experiment!

Explain to me how the moon can actually do damage to you? Just wandering.

Some of my colleagues believe that moon-light comes from so-called 'moonshrimp', which release an incredibly bright, radioactive light which kills their prey. They think that the light that reaches us, although less powerful, can still cause cancer.

Is there anything to counter-act the effects of moon shrimp radiation?

Other than the fact that it doesn't exist, no. All you can do is stay inside (which doesn't make much sense, because gamma rays can go through most forms of matter, but leading researchers assure me that it works).

I know id doesn't exist, I just want to know about it. Gamma rays would basically kill us on impact though. How would we all not die?

Because they actually don't. Over extended periods of time, gamma radiation can cause irreversible DNA damage. The extent of the damage depends on the length of exposure and amount of radiation. It takes about 500 times the amount of radiation at the Fukushima plant to give you radiation sickness, and about 10 times that to actually kill you.

Wouldn’t the millions of years of human evolution, exposed to these gamma rays be an ‘extended period of time’? or are you saying our DNA has already been mutated? Please provide studies that support this claim. Also, what are the levels of radiation at the plant? You can’t just say it’s 500 times XX, you must be specific.

The 500 times thing was just an example to show that radiation doesn't instantly kill people. And again, I don't believe the claims. I'm just reporting them.

Here's a chart of various radiation levels, with sources.

Also, no. Millions of years of human evolution is not an extended amount of time for gamma rays to take effect. You have to realize no creature would have lived long enough for that to happen.
