if the earth accelerates upwards all the time. then why if something is going really fast it stays in the air longer

Because the Earth would take more time to accelerate to match, and then overtake, the object's velocity.

He has a point. After all, it actually takes the known laws of physics and makes an alternate explanation for gravity. Albeit an explanation with no evidence for it, but much more plausible than, say, an ice wall that's never been seen and has no physical laws that apply to it, making it a rather ridiculous thing to believe. So, if there's anything you should believe about the FE theory, "FEer", it is the acceleration of the earth.

It's theoretically possible, but again, so many observations make it highly improbable, like, how does the atmosphere stay on the earth, and really crazy things start to happen as you approach light speed, which would be observable on earth.

There is no external frame of reference by which we can judge the cosmos to have a "speed". The universe is accelerating but has no measurable speed.

What I find hilarious is FEers will not accept that the earth is round because it 'looks flat', and yet they'll accept this absurd shit with zero observable info.

It makes you wonder what the REAL reason people feel compelled to believe the earth is flat is.

It isn't. Crazy things happen when you approach lightspeed, but not from your perspective.

Of course, are all the nearby stars being accelerated as well? Otherwise, we should be racing past them.
