Though the ending is just a touch underwhelming and the black magic element makes this virtually unmarketable in the United States, Krabat is an exceptionally well made film that deserves - and should find - an appreciative audience around the globe.

I have no idea.  Americans dig the black magic.  Maybe a biased opinion based on our perceived general religious beliefs?

The British Army need help from Americans. Apparently we have too many soldiers so a few friendly fire instances could save all these impending sackings.
Stop all this nonesense and bring on the lapdancers.
I understand Jack1704. It's a Brit thing.

They're clearly idiots, the best thing to do would be to premier it in the Bible belt, attract huge amounts of controversy and free PR before it's released in the civilised world.

Overprotective Bible Belt parents.

Most likely this. Not just bible belt parents, but Christians in general.

This, every German film I've ever seen has been messed up.
I don't know what you're implying, but you're probably wrong.

Nosferatu and Metropolis were awesome.

Sure I do, I listened to Jarvis Cocker's lecture on black magic

Just one reviewer's quirky opinion about the market. German films just don't do well here and it's already premiered here a couple of years ago.

While we are at the topic of americans and movies, somehow when americans make movies situated in the Netherlands everyone speaks German. Would it really be so hard to find out what language they speak here?

Which movies?  Was it dubbed or partially dubbed?  It just could be that there are reasons other than stupidity.

I try to avoid them, but eurotrip (might have a different name) and hostel are 2 examples.

Why would anyone think "black magic" would make a movie unmarketable in the US? There are tons of popular horror movies that involve some type of black magic.
I'm sorry. Am I to understand that when you have a boner you like to imagine punching the shit out of Tom Bishop? That's disgusting.

I love how much casual racism they've managed to cram into Eurotrip. It's an art form.
