Lying
« on: April 05, 2011, 06:46:53 AM »
My dear Flat-Earthers and non believers,

I have come for help,

As part of my friends Masters dissertation I have to take part in a role play where I steal something, I then have to lie convincingly so they can see the most common defences, as it were.

Seeing as those that frequent this site are amazing debaters I was wondering if you would share any tips on how to demolish arguments, or tips for lying in general.

Thanks!

Denial usually works. Claim that you were framed and that this is all part of a conspiracy to see what you would say if you had stolen something and wanted to get away with it. Sometimes the best lies are the truth.
Here's an explanation for ya. Lurk moar. Every single point you brought up has been posted, reposted, debated and debunked. There is a search function on this forum, and it is very easy to use.

Punch whoever disagrees with you. Violence is always the answer.

'Stealing something' requires that you intend not returning it.  Any role playing theft is factually, a non theft.  Just keep up a simple, "I have stolen nothing."

Frame someone else. The best way to win an argument is not to play by the rules.

I'd love to steal something from someone, then 'destroy their argument'.

What are the circumstances of the theft?

Frame someone else.  Use half truths in your lies.  Use unverifiable data.  Play on emotions, or the outcast of a group.  Don't fight too adamantly;  lay the seeds for someone else to take the fall and let it happen with appropriate nudges here and there.

don't even think about the answer.

When they ask you somthing, skip what is true and answer what they want to hear.

Wheather what you say is true or not should not factor into it.

Bribe them with money and sexual favours.
Then, accuse them of prostitution.

You don't want to make an enemy of me. I'm very powerful.
