Lack of trust.
« on: March 30, 2011, 12:17:25 PM »
Since this site is a statement against the scientific community, are all branches of the sciences generally not trusted or are certain parts less trusted than others?  If one is sick, does one avoid doctors and/or hospitals or are the medical sciences on the list of sciences that are trustworthy?

I'm envious.  I get sick rather often lately.  If you were to get sick, would you trust a physician?

Are you a little afraid a doctor is going to hasten your death if you visit a hospital?

So you'll go in for a broken arm but when the time comes that you need your apendix removed, what will you do?

Untreated strep throat or an infected compound fracture might.

Hanging around in doctors' offices is an effective way to contract strep throat.

Which incidentally is also proof that the Earth is flat.

Haha, this did make me chuckle. FOCUS, LAGNAF. In my opinion, people who tend to subscribe to conspiracies and unconventional theories are generally distrustful of any established authority or wisdom, which I suppose is stating the obvious but at least I'm on topic.

If you are making a reference to what you call "established wisdom" then you are on a slippery slope. That is what tries its best to keep RET in the forefront of understanding.

Yes. When you wrote "established authority or wisdom" I didn't know if you were saying that having a distrust of established wisdom was the same as saying "distrust of RET?" My point would then be that since RET is so ingrained in the educational system, that there has to be room for the wisdom of FET to take hold.

Should school children be taught both theories?

I do believe there is exposure to some extent with those, but FET should be expanded.
