If you need to take out half a link on a metal strap, you've either got ridiculously large links or a very pedantic disposition.

I used to wear watches all the time but stopped when I was about 15 now I feel naked without one. Only leather straps, though, can't be arsed with metal ones.

What?? Metal strips all the way Chris.

Too heavy, clonk when you rest your wrist on any hard surface, too cold when you first put them on, too easy to catch your skin in whatever needlessly complicated catch they decide to use.

No, leather with a simple buckle all the way. If it doesn't quite fit you can just cut a hole precisely where you need it rather than taking links out and wishing you could take out half a link.
You have a point over the sizes on getting it to fit.
Stop all this nonesense and bring on the lapdancers.

That is truth, but the wristwatch or pocketwatch as a superfluous, single-function device that is now outclassed by children's toys does possess a sense of poetic irony in today's information society.

I suppose that depends on what kind of watch you're talking about.  I used to use the stopwatch feature to time my runs before I got a wrist GPS.  I also used to have one of these bad boys (in black) 20 odd years ago.

Basically the point of a watch is to make it do as many useless yet awesome things as possible.

I soo want a watch with the moon phase on it.

That would be so useful to know. Sometimes I really need to know just where the fuck the tide is, and I'm not allowed to look because that's cheating.

It actually would be useful for a diver on a cabin trip with no internets.

I have to have my watches feeling snug but not tight. ad they have to be on a specific part of my wrist.

I have a pedantic disposition.

I've always hated the constricting feeling on my wrist. I wore a fob watch on my belt loop until I got a cellphone, and like so many others, realized how pointless it was.

If I was asked to imagine a perfect deity, I would never invent one that suffers from a multiple personality disorder. Christians get points for originality there.

Well, I was going to post an electronic pocket watch, until Google gave me this:

EDIT: Oh yeah, and warning, there is painted nudity and penises and stuff if you no like that.

I'd just like to point out once again that I am of the opinion that censoring rules that do not permit you to post motherfucking fine art are retarded.
