Let's Go to the Moon!
« on: March 26, 2011, 02:25:49 PM »
If we never went to the moon, why don't we actually go there!

Considering that the 32 mile-wide sphere is only 3000 miles above us, why don't we just make a super-powered helicopter, ascend into its orbit, and then land on it when it rolls by?

@Vindictus: Of course not. So let's build a space ship

Anyways, my real question is why haven't Conspiracy theorists garnered enough support to actually go to the moon?

Even if it were possible to go there I would not wish to; the Moon is a place of horror and death.

could be a profitable venture... you could harvest the moon shrimp and sell them to high class restaurants to serve in their exotic shrimp dishes.

i wonder what batter fried moon shrimp tastes like?  Although,  sauteed is butter sounds better to me overall.

Hardly.

I have reason to suspect that the moonshrimp taught the dinosaurs how to build boats. One might even postulate that the moonshrimp played an indirect role in the development of ancient human civilizations such as the Egyptians, or the Toltecs, or the Mayans. In my observations of the moon, conducted with extensive safety considerations, I have seen structures that lead me to conclude that they were likely the architects of the great pyramids.

Indeed, based on all available empirical evidence, one can only conclude that the moonshrimp have turned the moon into a bastion of culture, architecture, and beauty that is far beyond any human imagination.
How dare you have the audacity to demand my deposition. I've never even heard of you.

We must not "harvest" the moonshrimp.
It is quite possible they may have misgivings about their earthshrimp cousins
and we do not want to risk a possible moon shrimp invasion that may or may not take place 12/21/2012
but only Master James who is our earth ambassador to the moonshrimp can thwart this catastrophe

* Groan *  You had to ask....  Now we all get to read about the harmful effects of moonlight as emitted by bio-luminescent lunar shrimp.  and how it is important to gird our loins in tinfoil on nights of the full moon to help deflect the worst of the hurtful, cancerous lunar rays.

OK now just build this super powered helicopter.

I would liek to go to the moon but I imagine the atmosphere to be very hostile. The acidic air would probably disintegrate your lungs in seconds.

How can air stay on the bottom of the moon? Wouldn't UA cause any air on the moon to fall to earth?

Why, by the simple fact that all those who have gone before to the moon, breathed deeply of the Lunar Atmosphere, and basked in the fatal irradiating glow of the lunar migratory bio-luminescent shrimp and/or shrimp-like bacteria... have never been heard from again.  (please note intentional sarcasm)

I and many other FE believers do not subscribe to the UA theory. It is largely disproven and should be removed from the FAQ.

So gravity is no longer believed to be the result of the earth accelerating upwards?

Acidic air? Do you mean like vaporized lime juice/stomach acids? And even then, isn't that what "space suits" [are]/[would be] for?

Then why doe gravity not collapse the FE into a roughly spherical shape?

That question assumes that the Earth is in space.

If one is to follow infinite Earth, as I do, the question becomes meaningless.

I heard every time someone goes to the moon, James dies a little inside.

That is because James furthers a nonsense view that the Moon is a place of horror and death, even with the overwhelming empirical evidence to the contrary.

We should celebrate each time someone has the privilege to go to the moon. They have been given the chance to experience a utopia that is beyond all human comprehension, thanks to the work of the moonshrimp and their wondrous civilization.
