Grrrr!

Shouldn't it really be the elderly, the physically disabled, and the children who go on the lifeboats first? If we're talking about saving as many lives as possible.
I'm sorry. Am I to understand that when you have a boner you like to imagine punching the shit out of Tom Bishop? That's disgusting.

Oh, I thought it was "women and children first".

Oh, I thought it was "women and children first".

Now it's 'families first'.

I just don't understand why you think a strong man would be much better in a sinking ship situation.

Especially when the women generally have higher fat reserves ensuring more efficient buoyancy.

(I'm kidding. Don't hurt me...)

I would twist your arm but I think what you said is true so I'll refrain.

It was poor form, but I'm feeling particularly snarky today...    (Also, the generalization clearly excluded present company...)  ;)

I tend to agree with that.  Someone needs to look after the kids that were just tossed onto the life boats.

I think musicians and cooks should be saved first.

If men and women were even physically similar would we have to have separate sports for men and women?

If there's a single sport that women are competitive with men though, it would be long distance swimming.   :)

That's because women are fat.
Why do we fall back to earth? Because our weight pushes us down, no laws, no gravity pulling us. It is the law of intelligence.

It's because of weight distribution.  Men's legs tend to sink while swimming.

What does that have to do with it? srsly  There are weakling men and there are strong women (and the opposite, obviously).  I'm just objecting to the notion that men are automatically better suited in this situation.  Some will definitely be, some won't. The people who are best suited to be the rescuers will most likely take on that role without needing to worry about penis or vagina.

I try to be respectful and gentlemanly towards women, like holding the door open or the like. However, most of the time it is ignored as people often think I am taking the piss.

I would say, "Thank you."  I often see men hesitate at the door and can almost read their minds, "Should I open the door for her or not?  Is she going to thank me or is she going to give me a glare?"  You have my sympathy for what it's worth.

I open the door for everybody within reason, and I don't understand why others don't. It's just nice.

Me too.  If I get to the door first, or if I'm going out of the door and someone is coming in, I  hold it open. Doesn't matter who it is, it's common courtesy.  I also smile and say thank you if someone holds the door for me.

This sexualisation of the young is a cultural hang-over from the ancient Greeks, who typically married girls in their early teens, and routinely had same-sex relations with barely pubescent boys. The influence of ancient Greek culture on our society is a force for evil against us as we struggle to uphold a basic morality.

I think your spelling 'catholic priest' wrong.   ;)
lol concur.  It's almost time for the annual hiding of the pedophile priests.

Chivalry is dead in favor of feminism. Good riddance, I say.

I think this is throwing away the dear baby with his dirty bath water.  My opinion on this issue is not quite so totalistic.

The military basis of much of chivalry often had bad motives that it wanted (or even necessarily needed) disguised behind a facade of virtue, but that does not at all mean that the virtuous customs utilized by chivalry are evil in themselves.

I often do not concur with all of the motives of some feminists either, but many of the causes espoused by feminists are definitely worth fighting for.

99% of priests do not touch boys.
We were referring specifically to papist or Vatican priests.
The statement "99% of Priests" is a vague generalization.

98% of priests touch girls instead, because homosexuality is a sin.
