The problem with dragons making volcanos is that no one can observe it without melting first.
Therefore, there can't be any directly observable evidence.

I love the Mystery Cetacean....its a mystery but apparently can be found far and wide in all the worlds oceans.  But it cant. But its range is well known to the author. How exactly does that work?
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the precipitate.

I believe that subterranean dragons are the source of terrestrial volcanoes, and submarine dragons (i.e. sea serpents) are the source of underwater volcanoes.

Seems reasonable.

As far as I can tell, earthquakes are primarily (if not exclusively) caused by angels shaking the pillars of the world at the behest of God.

As far as i can tell, they are not caused by angels.  True story.

Beyond all this, I believe that the ultimate cause of the tidal wave that struck the Japanese people is their adoption of the sinful ways of the west.

Seems too close to flooding the world to me.
