Ok lets say the sake of the argument that waves are only caused by wind..... Im guessing you also don't believe in tectonic plates? How do Tsunamis happen? Just a massive about of "wind" for no reason at all just decides to push a wave? When is the space program going to be launched for Flat Earthers?
first of all sinister, please read the FAQ. i did the same mistake as you, and i still feel like a noob
next Tsunamis are large waves caused by tectonic plate movement in which a large amount of water is displaced, causing a large fast wave that moves practically vertically in all directions outwards from the epicenter (my 8th grade science teacher's explanation)
normal waves on the beach are caused by wind, and becuase they are waves, it is possible you cant feel the wind, but the wave can travel from a distant point. waves are also different from tsunamis mainly due to waves haveing a "circular path" as it approaches the land. (not circular from top view, from side view)
and tides, not to be confused with waves, are when the water level rises becuase the moon's gravitational pull on the water.
and Flat Earthers do not believe in space travel
