What's so bad about it?

It goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on on on on on on on, like Ravel's Bolero but without the melody or use of colour to back it up. What melody is there is absolutely grating in the extreme and the chord progression is a gross cliché. All I can think of when I hear it is Clint Mansell's smug face saying "I got paid for this." Speaking of which, I'd probably enjoy Darren Aronofsky's films much more if it weren't for that hack and his dire compositions.
