The endless tedium is what makes it a great song.

She actually doesn't seem like that bad of a singer from the unplugged version.  I think it was the excessive autotuning that made her sound so nasal.

It's a bunch of midi garbage with what sounds like a girl getting raped for vocals.

Not all punk sucks, some punk does it right and sounds like music. There is that style of punk that sounds like absolute shit.

There's also the fact that its singer can't sing, the heavy use of Autotune is extremely obvious and annoying, the entire tune is simplistic and irritating, there's that creepy appearance from the black guy in it, the music video is shitty, etc.

McArthur's Park is melting in the dark. All that sweet green icing flowing down; someone left the cake out in the rain. I don't think my heart could take it, because it took so long to bake it, and I'll never have that recipe again.

Personally, I agree with Saddam.  Not sure if it's how it was meant to be taken but it's hard to imagine that it's not: the lyrics are pure camp, and the melody is quite hummable.
