Fringe
« on: February 19, 2011, 03:50:27 PM »
This has been my favorite current show since Lost went downhill, but now it is doing the same thing. They are getting away from the science aspect and it seems like they are trying to turn it into a drama.

I will probably continue to watch it because it is still interesting, but it has started to lose what attracted me to the show at first.

Thoughts?

meh, well its just like what happens about once a year with House. The premise of the show takes a backseat to the over arching plot, so you get shity/uninteresting cases.
There have been now new cool fringe events like the guy who killed people with pens.
I don't think the pattern has been mentioned for a while

The way it's going right now, it looks like it will end up just like Lost. They will just completely forget about answering all the questions they brought up and talk about their feelings for half the show.

What went unanswered?
If I was asked to imagine a perfect deity, I would never invent one that suffers from a multiple personality disorder. Christians get points for originality there.

Better question is, what didn't go unanswered

I'm thinking most of everything was explained, except perhaps the supernatural explanations and origins of the societies. For example: 1. How exactly does one "fix it" so that two people can't hurt each other? 2. How the heck did the Dharma Initiative find the island and know that it had unique properties?

Of course a lot of questions were raised over a broad range of time, so I could be forgetting some.
