He will almost certainly be extracted. As long as the warrant is valid, it's pretty much for sure. The European extradition system is quite efficient.

So I was reading in the local paper that he is currently being charged with "consensual sex without protection"

How is that a crime?

That's really weird. But I thought that the "without protection" part wasn't consensual and that he was getting arrested for that.
But in this case he can also charge the girls right? They also had consensual sex without protection with him.

I think he should definitely press charges against the two women as well for not using protection.
I don't know what you're implying, but you're probably wrong.

I think the idea is that he refused to use protection, when they wanted him to.

If it was such a big deal they shouldn't have consented to have sex when he refused.

Yeah, and that's what confuses me.  If the sex was consensual, but the protection wasn't...couldn't she have been able to, uh, tell?  Did he claim that he had gotten a vasectomy or something?

So is there some wacky law there that a woman can later be all mad that she got horny enough to not use a condom?

http://www.dominicantoday.com/dr/forum/living-in-the-dr/general-info/4122/Media-Smear-campaign-Consensual-sex-without-a-condom-are-the-charges

according to this guy it appears he is being charged with some very odd things.

[...the Daily Mail even asserted the first alleged illegal act occurred when a condom broke, and the woman concerned "whatever her views about the incident," then "appeared relaxed and untroubled at the seminar the next day."]

Better double check your condoms there :o

It looks like she consented to sex with him WITH a condom, and then it was either removed or broke during intercourse meaning he had sex with her outside of the consent she gave.

Would this make accidentally putting it in the wrong hole rape? What precedents would this lead to? Would premature ejaculation be rape if the woman consented to a long session of sex? Would going too long be rape if she asked for a quickie?

In my opinion consent really should cover everything, and the woman should have to verbally remove her consent if she doesn't like the way sex is going.

Modify: it also appears the women didn't file a police report they "went to the police for advice on the issue" a technique in sweden that prevents you from being charged with falsely accusing someone of a crime. This means that no matter how the case turns out, their lies won't get them in trouble.

All evidence points to either them lying, or them presenting facts they knew were not representative of what had happened.

I might have missed something but they did only say that he had sex with them without a condom, and the media/governments spinned it to rape?

No, they went to the cops and said "we said he could have sex with us, then later he didn't use a condom is that rape?" and the cops took off iwth it.

Judging by the fact that they went to the press and such, yes they intentionally misled everyone.

Lies are not required to intentionally mislead. And either way their lies would not be illegal as they were just seeking advice from the police.

Intentionally ruining someone's name for something they didn't do is bad practice whether you tell a lie or not.

Did they state any facts that were contrary to the truth, perhaps not, but I highly doubt they gave an accurate portrayal of what happened that night.

Hey, they did it to the BNP.  Why bother confining themselves to just leaking government secrets when there are plenty of personal, private secrets they can be leaking?

Imagine if they ever decided to expose FES.  Tom Bishop's real name and address, revealed to the world...

Anyway, to get back on topic, less than two weeks later, Operation Payback has fizzled out.  The results of this heroic and noble revolution:

  • Not a single company has reversed their anti-WikiLeaks policies.
  • Of the dozen or so company websites targeted, only two were brought down successfully, and they both came back online in a day.
  • At least one person has been arrested for their participation in the attacks.
  • Thousands of unrelated people were pissed off because they couldn't access those websites.
  • The only mainstream media attention this movement received were characterizations that this was just another 4chan fad from two-bit hackers and anarchists.
