I myself don't believe in a conspiracy, but if I did there is sufficient evidence to point towards a very old conspiracy.  Assuming of course, you aren't a historical revisionist.

So you accept that satellites and photos of Earth from space are real, that the Moon is 250,000 miles away, that GPS is correct, and all the other things that give evidence of the Earth being round which are commonly dismissed as "conspiracy cover ups" by the flat guys, as they have no other way to explain them?

I'd say they found out themselves after the complete failure of their early attempts of a space program.

In modern times, reversed maps are made as a learning device or to illustrate Northern Hemisphere bias. Different from simply turning a north-up map upside down, a reversed map has the text oriented to be read with south up. Uruguayan constructivist artist Joaqu?n Torres Garc?a created several works depicting a map of South America with the southern point at the top.
An example of the "north-up" convention in use is related to the famous "Blue Marble" photograph of the Earth, taken from on board Apollo 17. The image was originally oriented with the south pole at the top, with the island of Madagascar visible just left of center, and the continent of Africa at its right. However, the image was turned upside-down to fit the traditional view.

I have provided two Azimuthal equal area maps.  RET says they are both valid, as they are simply projections of the Round Earth, and the map is just an upside down version.  FET, they cannot be both valid - as the Pole is an actual fixed point, and the rim is the "edge".

The question is - can a FET actually prove that which map is a valid map?

Because they can't answer them... this is the way of all of those who believe in a religion or conspiracy theory.
Flat Earth is an odd mix of conspiracy theory and religion.     I do not expect any real answers will be found here.  I have already noticed
that EVERY post I have read by a believer is a one or two sentence snide remark.

It's simple - it's a BELIEF, a RELIGION - it's not a science, it's not factual, and pressing a believer will only cause a crisis within that believer.  Their quickest and easiest response is to insult you (because you have cause them discomfort by challenging them), or ignore you (because that brings them comfort).

I don't hold GPS is "correct" only that it works for what its used for.  I agree that the moon could be 250,000 miles away.  I don't know about the other things you talk of.

Problems; lots, but two very fundamental ones:

1. When and how did the conspiracy start?
2. How did the conspirators figure out the "true" shape of the Earth?  Why are they the only ones that figure it out?  Why didn't Galieo, Newton, Einstein, etc. figure it out?

Answers:

1. It didn't.  In order for the conspiracy to have covered up the numerous examples of circumnavigating the globe, it would have to predate the NASA space program, thus meaning that there would be no motive.
2. They didn't.  The conspirators would have no logical way of knowing the shape of the Earth to any greater extent than today's scientists do.

Possible rebuttals:

1. They could have been preparing for the NASA space program!
    -Implausible, as there would not be any motive for those people to prepare some grand scheme so that future generations can scam people of money, not to mention that they could not have known that the NASA space program could have started, as it started due to many circumstances beyond their control.
2. They could have thought that the Earth was round before but then changed their minds upon viewing satellite photos, and quickly devised a conspiracy to cover it up.
   -Implausible, the time needed to devise of such a conspiracy would take far, far, far too long to devise on the spot.
Alternative rebuttal for number 2. They could have figured it out using the same methods that this forum uses.
  -Laughable that some random conspirators would be more knowledgeable than the combined consensus of today's Scientists.

Conclusion: If the Earth were flat, the conspirators would not have any way of knowing that that Scientists for some reason wouldn't also know from.  Unless if aliens came and told them, or some angel came and told them, they would have absolutely no more clue about the shape of the Earth than today's scientists, who know for a fact that the Earth is round, especially from satellite images from space.  Therefore, the conspiracy is clearly bogus, and therefore the Earth is round.
