My friend's take on FES
« on: November 27, 2010, 07:23:32 AM »
"I suppose to be a Flat-Earther, you basically have to believe that every scientist in the world is a co-conspirator. What about the fact that you see the mast of a ship first when it comes over the horizon? Or that you can see farther over the horizon when you are higher up (the reason for the crow's nest)? Or, for God's sake, the fact that when you call a friend who is in a different time zone, they can confirm that the sun is in a different place in their sky than it is in yours?

I guess the members of the Flat Earth Society are basically just insane, paranoid imbeciles... Or, maybe they just like to troll scientists... I don't see how they could take themselves seriously."

I already know what the response of some of you will be: Lurk Moar, so don't respond with that. I've already said, it's been said, no need to be said again, understood?

So, there is how a scientist views FES.
How dare you have the audacity to demand my deposition. I've never even heard of you.

Of course a scientist views FES like that. FES is a threat to the conspiracy ... his livelihood.

Lurk moar!

Lurk moar!

>implying the conspiracy has enough money to pay off every scientist in the world
You don't want to make an enemy of me. I'm very powerful.
