We lost our housekey today somewhere in the city, and after spending hours searching for it in the freezing cold we had to pay the locksmith to come drill out the lock and let us in. Its gonna cost us 300 euros God must really hate me

The door or door frame is going to break at the edge before the lock does. You'd need to replace the lock eventually anyways, and I bet replacing the door would not be a fun addition.

Breaking window and re-glazing window is something not even beyond the small skills of a Mrs. Peach.  I know this from experience.

You try breaking down my front doors (two doors, directly after each other, the outer one meant as a fire door to stop fires obviously spreading through apartments). I'm more annoyed that the landlord didn't have a spare key, neither did the building controller type person.

I know Woulda cost half the price in daytime as well, the breaking in bit that is. We haven't got the lock replaced yet so maybe we'll find someone cheaper to do that.
