Magellan and photos from space

Ferdinand Magellan's crew went all the way around the world(Magellan himself died from being shot by a poisoned arrow or poison blow dart). So if the world is flat then how could someone possibly go all the way around the world? It would be impossible unless you went around the outer extremities and actually SAW the edge of the world. Also, We have pictures from outer space that proves that the Earth is round. So what do you all say to that? Keep in mind that these aren't necessarily my views but questions to test the mettle of this theory. Thank you.

 The Atlantic Ocean is between the group of Africa and Europe and the group of the Americas. The Indian Ocean is between Asia and Africa. However, if the claim of the Flat Earth Theory is to be believed then either the Pacific Ocean (the largest ocean in the world) is actually separated by most of the known world (the area next to the Americas would be separated from the area next to Asia and Australia) or does not exist next to Asia and Australia or does not exist next to the Americas. Which is it? What about the fact that it is possible to see Russia (which according to the Flat Earth Theory is all the way across the world) from Alaska. In fact according to this website it is possible to walk to Russia from Alaska (not the mainland of either of course but from islands that belong to them). http://www.slate.com/id/2200155/

But going around in a circle around one part of the world would not but circumnavigation of the whole but rather of the part. So can you please explain this theory of going around the North Pole equaling going around the whole world?

Actually the FAQ map isn't great. There are flaws in it as you point out, like seeing Alaska from Russia. The map below was drawn by Rowbotham. Founding father of the modern flat earth movement. It may go to explain some of your questions.


As for going round the North pole, if one supposed the earth was round and not flat, circumnavigating the globe would be a case of trying to sail around the equator as best you can allowing for land masses. However if that earth turned out to be flat, what you would have in fact achieved is a circle around the North Pole close to the 0 degree latitude as best you can allowing for landmasses. Your compass would still tell you the same thing.

According to the theory of sunlight and how it only covers certain parts of the world (i say theory for the purposes of the Flat Earth Theory being true) the reason that it only covers parts of the world is because those are the parts facing the Sun. But if we are accepting the Flat Earth Theory as fact rather than fiction, then the Sun should cover all the world.

This picture does not accurately represent how seasons occur; how in December North America, Europe, etc have slimmer sunlight than South America, Africa, etc.

Umm, OK... How long is it day light for in the southern hemisphere? I live in Australia, please explain the extended daylight hours. Sunrise 5:24 am AWST Sunset 6:33 pm AWST. Thats 13 hours 9 minutes. I was up at 5:30 am, it was already light, still daylight at about 6:30 pm. Your image contradicts this.

I'm not sure you will be happy whatever I do. You just criticised me for never contributing. When I explain that I do, you dismiss this as not being worth anything. Do you want me to contribute or not?

Moon shrimp was not my theory for the record. This was the result of Ichi's research on the bioluminesence of the moon regarding his plant experiments and Pongo's theories on the moon. I cannot take credit for that. As for Australia not existing, have a lurk. That did not just come out of the blue. The existence of Australia has long been debated by FET.

Nice to know that you are wrong on every account. I live in tyhe most geographically remote captial city in the world, which is none of the above. I have been overseas and out of state on several occasions. Sometimes I drive, other times I have flown. When I drive, I have never used a GPS. Some of the drives have taken considerable time.

If Australia does not exist, based on my observation and recorded sunrise/sunset times please tell me where in the US I may be. Failing that, where in the world. Those times were for 19th November 2010.

Australia has more than one capital city. Canberra is the national capital, each state also has a capital city. Just like every other country with states.

I was also previously aware that there is a Perth in Scotland. I have driven from Perth to Adelaide. Had to go through the Nullabor plain and past the Australian Bite. From there to Brisbane and Sydney. Bit hard to drive from Perth Scotland to Adelaide Georgia.

Did you bother to check the Sunrise sunset times. Or did you think that trolling would be more fun?
