True.  I still think that it is cool that my dad's name is etched on three objects that have left the solar system: Pioneer 10 and the two Voyagers.

Graphiti is frowned upon on nasa property.

Is that mathematical graffiti?

Also why is his name on these objects?

He worked on all three of them, and in those days it was tradition to take a piece of the metal foil punch tape the CNC equipment used for programming, and etch the names of everyone that worked on the actual vehicle onto it.  They used the foil because it added almost no weight to the vehicle, and then attached it to one of the interior surfaces.
