The Conspiracy
« on: October 26, 2010, 04:58:33 PM »
There has been a supposed conspiracy that has existed and hid the truth that the Earth is really flat. My point is not if this conspiracy exists or not but why. What would a conspiracy gain by withholding this knowledge. It would take an extraordinarily amount of money to censor the information alone. Ignoring the cost to guard the entire ice wall, you are looking at a billion+ dollar scheme that surpasses all governments. What does this conspiracy stand to gain?

Maybe he has a thing for conspiracies.  Some people do - they always seem to need one.  Anyhow a nice discussion about why the need for the conspiracy to exist pre-world war II (space age money maker).

The First link became an argument about the conspiracy's existence. The Second link is about how the conspiracy knows the true shape of Earth. Mine is an improvement of the first link by expanding the discussion to their over all goal and aims. You would be a poor moderator, because you don't even read your own links.  ::)

Actually, all conspiracies revolve around not getting caught.

This question has indeed been answered an inordinate amount of times all over the fora. We get a lot of flack for our advisement to lurk and exploit the search function, but it really is not as monumental and unreasonable a task as you all make it out to be - particularly when we don't owe Globularists anything.

I will grant you a boon in this instance and do your work for you; it would have taken you all of two minutes...

The motivations of the conspiracy are ultimately unknown, but there is probably financial incentive.

From what? The globe industry? I would like some legitimation answers.

We could conspire without resorting to secrecy. Though the word tends to lend itself to the connotation of secrecy.

I know you meant to mock, but you may be surprised at the geographical links between the House of Welf, the BGMG and the later Illuminati.

Notice that I didn't say anything about not getting found out, I said "not getting caught".  Although the former is not technically necessary for the latter, it certainly does help.

It costs significantly less to fake a space program than it does to maintain a real one. NASA and the other "agencies" pocket the substantial difference.
No, it doesn't cost less to fake one. It costs more to fake the space program than to run real one.

Not if prolonged space travel is impossible, as it would be with a UA.

But you wouldn't know the real cost of the space program in that case. Therefore you can't say that the fake program costs less. You can only assume that.

I'm glad your hacking issue was resolved Thork. I still find it odd that your hacker never changed your password and a simple reset was all that was required. Lord Wilmore has gotten it far worse a few times.  Also, thank you to the mod staff for keeping on top of issues like these.  It's a strong and capable mod team that keeps these forums strong. I have nothing but praise for you guys.

to fake a space program, you would have to hier actors, train, buy the equipment to fake it, pay people to shut up, build anteneas for no reason, film it, edit it, and find a crew that wont ever talk

i think that cost alot, not to mention a rocket, fake satellite info, a way to keep all of the scientific community shut

I apologise, I just made a thread in the debate  forum on this same subject (well, practically) I probably should've checked first.

But I did just think of something- What about the discovery channel? I see documentaries about Antartica all the time- is everyone whose ever worked on nature documentaries "in" on it? Are they all being paid off too with this mystery money that's coming out of nowhere.

I'm actually kinda impressed by certain arguements here- the ones that involve math and complicated science that I could never understand, but this seems like a huge lapse in logic even for FEers. The earth is flat thus there must be a conspiracy coving it up?  So it dosen't actually matter to you why Or can nobody actually think of a good excuse here?

Of course not. They simply visit Antarctica and film a documentary. Why would they be in on anything?

However there is no evidence to suggest those shelves are some sort of barrier which holds the atmosphere in.

Then what is the significance of the 150 foot ice shelves in FET?
