What do you think about this writer?

I just picked up, from the libraries book recycling bin, The Dragons of Eden and The Cosmic Connection. Going to start reading The Dragons of Eden soon...

The novel was better.

Cosmos was better as a series, than it was as a book.

Well can't say anything since I've neither watched nor read that series.

No surprise there, the book is always better. Or so everyone says about every film adaptation of a book ever made. But why compare a book with a film anyway? It's like saying Tigers are better than Killer Whales. It makes no sense.

Film: A medium usually limited to two to three hours.
Novel: Epic adventure awesome.

This is why novels are better than film adaptations.

Chair: A device on which a person may sit thus taking the load off their feet.
Jupiter: A gas giant orbiting the sun

That is why Jupiter is better than chair.

Damn it, why can't people like this be immortal? Science needs a PR man now more than ever.

Not even in the same league as Sagan but he seems to be doing a pretty good job getting people interested in science.
