Still, the Inuit insist they see changes in the sun?s course and the position of the stars in the night sky. ?These elders, when they were growing up, they were told to go out every morning, before having anything to eat. They were told to go out at the age of 5 every morning to observe the weather,? Kunuk says. ?So when they started talking about the sun and the sunset, I was puzzled too. Everywhere I went, each community, I was getting the same answer: The sun does not settle where it used to. I mean, it [causes] alarm.?
...
Perplexed, they contacted the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration for answers, but experts said this was impossible.

Dismissed as impossible by the scientific community, but the Inuits (historically flat earth believers) state the habits of the heavenly bodies have changed. I am endeavoring to learn whether these current Inuit elders believe in the historical FE cosmology of their forefathers.

Were they actually recording the position of the sun, or just remembering?

Being a "native" does not give them a monopoly on wisdom or knowledge.
How dare you have the audacity to demand my deposition. I've never even heard of you.

I certainly wouldn't make such a claim. Yet several communities each stated the same observations. At anyrate, the Repository is not the place for debate but for record. I encourage you to create a thread if you would like to debate the Inuits' integrity.

Tough to do when you don't provide any links.

Right alongside the thread debating the integrity of professional astronomers.

Perhaps it might be wise to put that NASA statement back into its proper context:

Most startling for the filmmakers, though, was the Inuits’ belief that along with pollution and environmental changes, caused mainly by Southerners, the Earth has actually changed its tilt. The filmmakers kept hearing this theory in different communities. Perplexed, they contacted the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration for answers, but experts said this was impossible.

How does the earth's tilt fit into FE cosmology?

This is a very interesting article and a great find.  I offer the following links which contain generally relevant information which might be useful in evaluating the phenomenon discussed in the link above:

The Nunavut Handbook is perhaps the most informative one stop guidebook to this region of the world.
http://www.amazon.com/Nunavut-Handbook-Traveling-Canadas-Arctic/dp/1550365878/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1287898047&sr=8-1

I obtained a more recent edition of this book from Arctic Ventures bookstore in Iqaluit, the capitol of Nunavut located on Baffin Island.

'RED EARTH, WHITE LIES' by the recently deceased veteran American Indian Movement indigenous activist, attorney, and CREATIONIST Vine DeLoria, Jr. is a relevant refutation of modern so-called scientific facts pertaining especially to indigenous areas such as the Inuit as completely false and incorrigibly racist.  The book contrasts what DeLoria calls geomythology "science" with Indian traditions.
http://www.amazon.com/Red-Earth-White-Lies-Scientific/dp/1555913881/ref=sr_1_11?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1287966476&sr=1-11

'NATIVE SCIENCE' by Gregory Cajete is another analysis of indigenous astronomy and cosmology which is not sympathetic to the western perspective.
http://www.amazon.com/Native-Science-Natural-Laws-Interdependence/dp/1574160419/ref=pd_sim_b_5

'Naturalist's Guide to the Arctic' by Pielou also has information on this region.

I can find absolutely no evidence whatsoever to suggest the Inuits have ever believed in a flat earth. In fact, the very program you linked to in the article refers to the world having shifted on its axis, which refers to a rotation of the earth, and that can only be the case if it was a globe

You clearly haven't looked very hard.  The inuit had a horizontal world view.  This necessitates a flat earth.  This section is for information reposit, not debate.
I you can'ta argue both sides, you understand neither
