Q: "What about satellites? How do they orbit the Earth?" A: Since sustained spaceflight is not possible, satellites cannot orbit the Earth. The signals we supposedly receive from them are either broadcast from towers or any number of possible pseudolites. However, temporary space-flight is possible.
Besides, perhaps FET is a conspiracy too.
It is just the way it is, you understanding it doesn't concern me.
LOL That photo is so obviously photoshopped!Show us a picture which isn't part of your conspiracy please!
I don't remember anything. Well, I do, but it's really vague. Like I was on drugs the whole time.
QuoteWhy is australia excluded?Because it is a lie propagated by the conspiracy (like gravity or sustained spaceflight).
Why is australia excluded?
Better bring a better augment, something not so stupid.

How dare you have the audacity to demand my deposition. I've never even heard of you.

He asked for a picture. If he wasn't willing to accept it as evidence, then he shouldn't have asked for it.
Keep it serious, Thork. You can troll, but don't be so open. We have standards
I saw a slight haze in the hotel bathroom this morning after I took a shower, have I discovered a new planet?
First of all, he asked for a picture.2nd, it wasn't even a FE er that provided him with one.

Are you arguing that it matters who presents the evidence? Wouldn't that be an ad hominem fallacy?
I've merely acted in the same way as the FEs act.

However, it has nothing to do with his question. He simply asked for a picture.
His question had to do with confirming the "roundness" or "flatness" of the Earth, though.
Quote from: Horatio on August 12, 2010, 09:38:02 AMHis question had to do with confirming the "roundness" or "flatness" of the Earth, though. So the solution you suggest is a FE'er saying "Sorry, we can't provide you with the picture you asked. Please go away", when we actually can provide him with one? Because if so, I... uh... I actually don't have an answer to something this dumb, but you do get the point.
I'm just going by your own rules, kiddo.

The point Horatio is making relies on the concept of "What's good for the goose is good for the gander." That the FAQ make the inane claim that Photographs aren't proof of anything cuts both ways. If you will, it's hold a mirror up to FEers and saying that such rules are inappropriate. I understand that Horatio is not directly lecturing and only demonstrating by example, but I trust you're intelligent enough to understand now.

This is exactly why I do not make threads specifically requesting pictures that would prove a round Earth. However, the OP did, and has been answered. Now, riddle me this: What would have happened if no one replied, or if someone said they won't post pictures, because those are not evidence anyway?
