What possible reason could every astronomer, government, space corp, and every other person involved with knowing what shape the earth is lie about it being round?

Now millions of satelites are in the skies photographing the earth and such. How could a conspiracy like this even suceed?!

it takes more than 40 people, because at least a thousand people have used technology to see the actual shape of the earth, including astronauts with first hand accounts in the matter. Why the massive cover up? This is why the flat earth theory is RIDIKILIS

The Wiki clearly states that 40 people create all the Data that contradicts a Flat Earth view.  The rest of the data is authentic and has other, unprovable, reasons for showing what it does.

Indeed.  Even if we assume that the conspiracy has computes that are 10 years more advanced than is commercially available, there is no way they could produce realistic CGI back in 1990.  Especially of Hurricanes from space.  Nor could they produce them in anything resembling realtime to compensate for unexpected movement.  After all, you can't accurately predict the path of a Hurricane until after it moves.  In fact, to make a realistic looking hurricane video would require several hours of processing time for every few seconds.

As time progresses, it get's faster and easier to reproduce these things.  Unfortunately that means it was slower in the past when the data being received was not much different than today.

Thats like saying you could make more money running a walmart.  I'd say as far as things go, a global conspiracy likely makes more money than a limeade stand.

Of course, if they gave up the conspiracy now they'd likely be drawn and quartered.

What possible reason could every astronomer, government, space corp, and every other person involved with knowing what shape the earth is lie about it being round?

Almost all of them are deceived on this point and sincerely believe it is round.  They serve the conspiracy, but they are not initiated into it.  Only a very limited number of people are actually initiated.  For your information, that is the way in which any conspiracy worth its salt actually functions.

The method of a conspiracy and the motivation for a conspiracy are different.

The method of a conspiracy and the motivation for a conspiracy are different.

As reguards motivation,

I believe that anti-flat earth doctrine is merely one aspect of a larger conspiracy led by Satan to deceive man in order to destroy him by provoking him in some way to disbelieve God.  The reason is that Satan is envious at the prospect of others spending eternity in the light of God while he himself spends it burning in the fire of God.  Misery loves company.  This demonic conspiracy does make use of multi-generational secret societies in the realm of humans

In this case, anything obvious and easily observable about the creation is suggested to be other than it simply appears or explained in a way which hides the simple logic of its created reality.  In this respect, sphericism is akin to evolutionary theory.  The replacement of Euclidean logic (which depends exclusively upon observale facts) with Baconian reasoning which legitimizes vanity, and any extraneous theorizing is encouraged.  The ultimate purpose of this as far the devil's objectives are concerned is to lead men away from important truths.  Baconian scientific propaganda generally blackens tradition (certain traditions to be more specific) or anything which may put all the various facts in order and logically lead men higher to a search for God.  Much of what passes as modern science is the effect of various occult stratagems based upon demonic doctrines such as the Baconian "scientific" method.  These occult methods ultimately delude and deaden the mind and are hyped as modern science and respectable which plays towards Satan's objective of deceiving men.

A good litmus test to see if any conspiracy theory is feasible is to compare it's thesis with actual factual trends and patterns.  With that in mind, Arthur Koestler wrote a classic history of modern science appropriately entitled 'The Sleepwalkers' which shreds many of the myths of modern so-called science, and shows how it deadens men's minds.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sleepwalkers

With reguards to cartography, modern maps are drawn to conceal characteristics such as the Garden of Eden in the far east, or the mountains mentioned by Isaiah (chapter 14) in the far north of which earlier generations were aware.  For example, Gerhard Mercator knew of the arctic mountain and included it in his charts, but it was excluded from later maps and this very real physical mountain which exists much further north than the so-called north pole was not given any mention by Peary, Cook, or the sailors of the USS NAUTILUS.

Meh.  I've wondered how Angels, which are said to have no free will (a trait only given to Man), were able to rebel.
But since Satan would have to directly interfere with Man, God would know Satan is manipulating Man and he should put a stop to it.  I mean, what can a single human do against the second most powerful being in creation?

As for the maps...

Ummm...
Those maps aren't very accurate.
Here's one that shows those 4 "areas" as well as the whole world.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/58/Mercator_World_Map.jpg

I'm not even sure I can identify them all to be honest.  Everything is out of proportion, edges aren't defined, and the entire west coast of North America is bigger than it should be.
Hell, the whole nation of Pygmei seems to come from nowhere.
Greenland is very small as well.  It should be much bigger.

If I could read old Dutch (or whatever language it's in) I might have a better understanding of what those land masses are said to be.  Do you know what they are or what those words on the map mean?

If every space agency sincerely believes the earth to be round, then it follows that they must have made a number of sincere attempts to place satellites and/or humans into orbit.  How is it possible that every one of those missions must inevitably fail (including the "successful" ones broadcast on live television) and yet the agencies responsible could still be ignorant of the true shape of the earth?

If I could read old Dutch (or whatever language it's in) I might have a better understanding of what those land masses are said to be.  Do you know what they are or what those words on the map mean?

Are you primarily referring to those four islands at the top?

If so, then according to Gerhard Mercator these are four arctic islands that surround the central north pole which is itself a mountain of solid magnetic rock 33 miles in circumference without even a handful of dirt upon it.  The four islands have thin waterways which run between them.  Mercator included it in his world map of 1569 which is not the exact same map as the one you posted, but it does have that unique characteristic.  I am not claiming that Mercator's statistics are absolutely exact, but he does have the correct general idea.  Mercator's detailed description of the arctic in which he also mentions his sources  for such data are contained in a letter he wrote to John Dee which was reprinted in a 1956 issue of the cartography journal 'Imago Mundi.'  One of Mercator's sources was an explorer from the 1300's who actually went to the true north according to Mercator.

http://www.helmink.com/Antique_Map_Mercator_North_Pole_2/

The fact that Mercator mentions a mountain surrounded by other lands at the true north is the most significant fact in all of this since the same fact is corroborated by many others throughout the history of the world.

For example, Cosmas Indicopleustes mentioned the same mountain (with apparently much greater size) back in the sixth century A.D.

The bottom line is that these items on the map are actually holdover characteristics from medieval cartography.  I am saying that these things (such as the northern mountain, Garden of Eden, etc) actually exist, and the reason why most people do not know this is because they have been hidden - eliminated from cartographic charts, modern literature, et cetera.

The fact that these items were included on some world maps of the 1500's and 1600's, but not so many afterwards is an indication that change was taking place in cartography during that time, and the change obviously involved controversy.  Obviously, the hard core partisans of the older cartographywould be the most likely to consider the change as some sirt of conspiracy, and modern science which deadens peoples' minds would have us to accept unquestioningly the status quo without seriously and objectively putting the views of both sides to a test.

Alternatively, and far more likely, the changes occurred due to the exploration of the world being undertaken from Europe at that time leading to new information and more accurate maps.
How dare you have the audacity to demand my deposition. I've never even heard of you.

Or they could simply be morons who had no idea where they were, or how to make a real map.. Your argument sounds like a creationist war drumb against science. The only deadening of minds are those that partake in asserting conspiracy in order to support their fallacies, ideologies, and baseless circular arguments. Using religious dogmatic behavioral adaptations to make your case does not make your argument worth anything. Yeah, I don't think I would be using maps from the 1600's to navigate with, it's a good way to get yourself lost and killed. You let me know when your FE society manages to get a map with an acurracy of 1 sq meter. And before you can do that, you better consult with your FAQ problems of having a 486 million sq mile Earth vs the Real Earth's 196 million sq miles, and that means you actually need to figure out what you are going to use for a diameter and circumference since the currently listed figures are being stated as not being "official" (noted as backpedalling). And using RE's Equatoral circumference as your diameter wasn't the most intelligent thing to do either. So have fun in the Time, Distance, and speed calculations as they will never be correct under FE.

FE T-shirts = Profit = conspiracy = ideological cult in the making = teaching stupid = paranoia = nut case. Any questions?
