Indeed. I liked how "I don't know what work is" and I work decently hard at my job.

IDK, I'm going to be doing college soon, so I'll even better than they are.

This is how the holocaust began. Religious and racial intolerance, not the other way around.

Why do you do this to me? I feel raging, but I realize that it's pretty stupid to care about these fag-bags. I just can't believe that people are so ridiculously ignorant about that kind of shit. At least with facebook now, people are tied to their comments and can be held accountable.

Keith Olbermann's Special Comment

Olbermann is the fucking shit. He and John Stewart are the best fucking anchors on American TV that I've seen.

I don't know. Olbermann and Stewart are a little too biased to get facts from. I usually get news from NPR and opinions from The Daily Show and Countdown.

well, yah. I guess my use of 'anchor' changed the intention of my post. But yee, for sure there are better news services. But Stewart and Olbermann are both right on with nearly everything they say. It's rare that I disagree with either of them outright.

Best statement I've heard so far on this subject.

Quote
This mosque is good for America. For a number of reasons. First of all it means that Christians in American have finally have to deal with someone as stupid as they are. Us atheists have been putting up with their unreasonable bullshit for years. Its time they had a piece of your own medicine.

Bravo zulu.

I have not posted in this thread, but I see it is unnecessary since you guys are on top of this one.

I am inclined to blame the media for deliberately making a mountain out of nothing.  Unfortunately, these religious right idiots reliably give them something to work with every time.

This is interesting, and somewhat related, as the guy in charge says that he won't do it if the center is moved:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Florida_Qur%27an-burning_controversy

I'm a little curious as to why this is receiving so much media attention.  Does this mean that all I need to do is make one YouTube video where I announce my plan to do something outrageous, and I'm instantly rocketed to worldwide fame?

It depends if Fox and Friends like it.

Also, this is further proof that Obama is a muslim because he is outraged by the threat to burn the koran and only muslims are offended by

That's the way it works. If you announced you were going to kill 30 people tomorrow by driving on the sidewalk at high speed, you'd get attention. Maybe not by national news agencies, but probably by your community.

He's decided not to burn the Koran, so long as they don't build the mosque at ground zero, and they help his sister move some stuff out of her garage into her attic. But he might burn it in the future if it takes his fancy.

Who says terrorism doesn't get results?

(BTW Pastor Fuckwit, there never was going to be a mosque at ground zero. You done goofed.)

And that's another thing that irritates me about this whole thing.  If the center really was literally going to be built on the site where the World Trade Center stood, then I'd have a problem, not necessarily for the same reasons that everyone is talking about, but simply for the same reason that I wouldn't want a Wal-Mart or a Denny's built there.

I saw some footage of his office on the news. He has a Walther P99 laying on a bible by his laptop. God only knows you're in hick country now, boy.

No, it makes you illogical. burning a book is just a symbol of disapproval. There's nothing wrong with it. And really, the pastor doing the same thing with the Koran doesn't bother me in the slightest, it's the fact that he resorts to terrorising people who had nothing to do with 9/11, to stop them from doing something which he shouldn't be offended by in the first place. The people who hijacked those planes were, first and foremost, terrorists. Their religious view(And it wasn't Islam) doesn't matter.

Were the 9/11 bomber Jewish?

Wait. Now take it slow. Does this mean that being "radical islamist" means you don't hold an Islamic religious view?

I don't like the burning of books because it promotes ignorance through denial. Instead of having a rational argument, you simply burn your opponents work.
