A Trip To The Edge
« on: August 15, 2006, 08:52:03 AM »
I was just curious if anyone wanted to plan a trip or expadition to the ice wall, im kinda excited about this as ive never seen anyone go there before which to me is kinda strange, i know itll be pretty barren and pretty cold but i think itd be cool.

just curious anyone know of any travel agencies that can arrange like day trips there or? how would it work, i know we'd need a boat[obviously, duh] but i think itd be well worth it.

Cheers.

You obviously don't read up on the other threads.  The FES believes that the government guards it and won't let you near it.  Just do what I do.  Sit back and read the threads.  You'll learn more about their twisted logic and how it always contradicts itself.

well id like to know which goverments take an active part in policing this wall of ice and even then, id still like to plan a trip to the wall, i feel that if we were turn away by any goverment we could record the incedent and put it on youtube or google video at least.

I just want to see this magnificant creation of God, and i say god becuase obviously nature did not create this wonderous wall.

Drake, I dearly hope that you're mocking the FE's because if you actually believe it, you obviously have no idea how it works. The guards don't just turn you away, they brainwash or kill you. Jeez. Read the freakin' FAQ, and once again, I hope you're mocking the FE'ers, because if you're serious, you're even more ridiculous than most FE'ers.

well i dont really see what the problem, i mean if you took a boat trip with the proper equipment set up with a live web feed, then im sure we get the word out and break this conspiracy.  I mean, surely many FE pioneers have tried, what about before multi conglomarate police state tactics, chaps such Hilary, Scott, has no one ever before recorded such a thing or have they been burnd from the annals of history?

So my reasoning for the reason you don't fall off the edge, is that when you DO get there, you don't know it. Gravity keeps you planted on the ground, and when it gets REALLY REALLY cold, then you know you've reached the other... DARKER... side... O_O Ever wonder why it seems like traveling through all that ice and snow takes a lot longer than when you're travelling in Florida? That's because the... other side o_O... is as big as the front side of the earth. All that coldness... It's my nightmare. No thank you, I don't want to go there.

Imagine a place so dark and cold that the sun has never shed light upon it.  The heat from the sun is so far away, that when the spotlight is pointed in your direction, it appears to be a simple dot in an otherwise pointless darkness.

It is in this environment, beyond freezing, where the edge of space meets the edge of earth.  Here, you will find your ice wall.

then you would obviously take the appropriate gear, its really this simple, im not sure why we all havnt planned or sought to bring in outside investors to fund this, becuase lets be honest, if it exists then im sure any philanthropist will want to seek it out.  Maybe contacting the discovery or national geographic for advice?

well then seek advice from more partisan sources such as colleges or universities, im sure many educated proffersors will show great interest in this expadition.  But your right it is sad how every single employee of National Geographic and Discovery that number in the tens of thousands are involved, you'd think such educated persons would have more integrity.

then we need to get this on tape and get enough people either by petioning universites for funding or just writing to local authorites and newpapers en masse to get enough people to accept these facts.

well the only other option is to offer flights in high orbital mig29's, theyll take people up to the edge of space so we can infact have definative evidence.  The flights cost around 10 grand, id say its a small price to pay to reveal the truth.

you have audacity to call yourself an engineer?, do you even know what a MIG 29 is?

the MIG 29 Fulcrum along with the Sukhoi's[SU series] are the most aerodynamicly advanced fighter jets on the planet.

The Sukhoi Su-27 is probably the most advanced fighter in the world, except maybe the electronics. They're no less safe than an F-15. Either way, for a few grand you can charter a fighter and fly high enough to see the curvature. Lots of people see it, and lo and behold, it's curved! Unless, of course, they're all lying.

to be honest 10 grand, which is a fraction of what i make a year is very little by comparison to the billions it costs america to fight wars, i beleive the defence is officialy 330 billion a year, and lets be honest, hundreds of billions more gets spent under various deprtments such as the Department of Energy which ultimatly goes straight to the DoD.

What im proposing is finding independant bodies to source this wonderous godly miracle out, why shouldnt we?, it wouldnt really take a lot.  And if someone did have the required funds you could approach one hundreds of private companies that will happily place one of their satellites anywhere in the world for photo imaging research.

Yes, I call myself an engineer, as do many other people.  Yes, I do know what a MIG 29 is.  Perhaps I have a unique perspective on the defense industry.

Uh, yes it was.  It was the outcome of a requirement issued in 1972.  The first flight was in 1977.  Manufacturing began in 1982, with an operational debut in 1985.  Last time I checked, those years were all during the cold war.

This is the jet that I flew in here in Aus.

It takes you out across the blue mountains and through the vallets.

Absolutely awesome experience. Jets a little old (was a training jet from the 70's) but still, the whole side-by-side cockpit just rocks!!

But, yea, this jet only hit max 4g

my point was, that for something that is apparently a load of rubbish from the cold war, it is one of the most advanced aerodynamic fighters in the world.  Btw what kind of engineer are you?

anyway my point is id like some of my fellow flat earthers to plan a trip to the edge and at least help in making this dream come true.  Why they have not already been im not sure.

I'm pretty sure your point was to call into question my education and my knowledge of the subject at hand.

I didn't say anything about the aerodynamics of the jet, I simply stated that I would not go near one on the ground, much less pay 10 g's to fly in it.  Imagine taking the aerodynamically advanced body and chassis of a Ferrari and putting a leaking, almost broke down engine and drivetrain into it.  Sure it's an advanced car, it's fast, and can handle like it's on rails, but it's always one o-ring, one gasket, or one grain of sand in the oil away from catching fire and blowing up.  That's what it's like.
