What you went through is frequently called "puberty".
I think its a good thing to make up your own mind, and to question authority and belief-systems, that have more or less been put upon one. However questioning authorities does not mean rejecting everything authorities say. The good thing about our science-based society is, that every claim can be tracked down to its evidence and people who support it or are against it. You can - as long as its credible and public, so the FET would not apply - go to the roots of the claims.
The problem is, after being shocked out of your world of soft ice and coke, you just looked for something different to hang onto. Basically, your theories or the movements you follow have just replaced the authority and ideas you rejected just then. Instead, you should take on an agnostic point of view, evaluating the evidence of both sides, and you will see, as far as science is concerned, the "authority" has quite appealing evidence.
About your NWO speculation: The same rules apply. However please be sincere and ask yourself questions like "could a conspiracy of this size really just stay covered?" or "How is this even possible? Couldnt (something) just have been an accident, or have other causes too?".
I am very sceptic in relation to politics, too, but to understand politics there is one thing one must understand: There is neither good nor evil. Its all psychology. There are many unanswered questions, for example: Who made up the WMD-storytales and why did we go to Iraq, then?! But at the end of the day, your NWO evidence really only shows paranoia/schizophrenia, and not much of evidence.
