Not nessarly. The earth could be a flat triangle, or square or maybe,(just maybe) evan a flat rhombus. And Mclord may be refering to an Infinite planar earth.
Vongeo is a wanker, he wears a wanker hat; he always smells like urine and he thinks the Earth is flat.

No longer is this sentence is cut in half. Jekra!

The "but flat" phrase implies that it was previously not thought to be flat.

That's what the phrase does imply.

You added the still. That changes the meaning. the phrase is ambiguous, as most directly it implies that flat and circular are in compatible.

It's not ambiguous, because, as you have noticed yourself, a circle is flat. That fact alone eliminates one of the two possible meanings of the sentence, which, shockingly, is the one you chose.

You'd be surprised at how many people are convinced I'm a troll. However, this is nothing far from the truth. My name got cut off in the creation process so Science is missing the e. I assure you there is nothing but true SCIENCE on MY side of the table friends.

Facts don't change the meaning of the sentence. With the fact that a circle is flat you can assume that the word still is implied, but he should have added still to be correct. The sentence is still a mistake
