Who was Mr. Oldham and James Naylor?
I saw a slight haze in the hotel bathroom this morning after I took a shower, have I discovered a new planet?

They're more recent than that. If I remember correctly James Naylor claimed to have discovered the reason Alfred Wallace and his referee saw what they claimed to have seen during the infamous Bedford level wager. Oldham was a globularist who responded to Naylor's assertions. I can't remember if I read this in Flat Earth: The History of an Infamous Idea, or something in the repository, but they were around the time of Lady Blount.
