The mouth is too high. It should be lowered just a bit. Otherwise it just doesn't seem right.

Fucking Ghana. Oh well, we can go home to air conditioned homes instead of mud huts so we win anyway.

The Americans put up a good fight, and had many close calls. The winning goal scored by Gyan was purely a demonstration of talent, I have to admit. He did it all by himself: he fought against two American defenders and drove the ball into the net with great accuracy.

However, Ghana may have trouble playing against Uruguay, as they are one of the three kings of South American football.

I'm enraged about the ridiculousness of that game. With that goal, we would have won, in my opinion. My evidence is our 2 fucking goals in 5 fucking minutes.

Doubt it, we were totally shit. The Germans would've just scored again. To be honest we were lucky getting out of the group stage.

I admit we were useless in the group stage, but we showed how good we could have been against Slovenia for a while, and we saw the very same England after their first goal.

The assistant referee must be blind, as the ball certainly crossed the line. It would have been 4:2, thereby saving the English team from humiliation. This match reminds me of the 1966 final.

Either way, England are simply too old to compete with the young and athletic Germany. Germany took advantage of the well-exposed English defense in the second half, scoring two goals just three minutes apart. These German counterattacks were executed with great timing.

The goal by Lampard was disallowed by the assistant referee.

Oh, so if they'd have scored, the German goalkeeper would have kicked the ball out and the game would have carried on just the same, right?

Well, as long as the ball crosses the line, it is considered a goal according to the rules.

Look, if the ball crossed the line and considered a goal as a result, the goal stays even if the goalkeeper kicks it out. For example, Zidane took the penalty at the 2006 World Cup final, and the ball crossed the Italian goal line. The ball bounced out, but the officials still considered it as a goal.

I understand the goal was not counted as a goal. My grief was with the idea that the game would have been similar, or even exactly the same, if it was allowed.

I agree it would still be 4:2. I think the English would have had a morale boost and played more decisively if it was 2:2 before the second half.

I guess it's impossible to find out, but I feel that Germany's fourth goal was significantly affected by a defeatist attitude from the English men. I've got over my initial massive rage, but I attribute the mistake, at least in part, to the German keeper, who instantly threw the ball away from his save which he must have known was possibly a goal. I find that very unsportsmanlike.

Germany played far better overall and I believe they would have won regardless even if the goal had been allowed, but either way this match shows how badly video replay referees need to be implemented in football.

I was talking about that only yesterday at work. The other trouble I have with it is that the 3rd and 4th goals were as a direct result of an offensive lineup, presumably to reclaim the lost goal. Perhaps these tactics were a mistake, but they are tactics that wouldn't have to have been chosen, if our goal was allowed.
And I'm not just clinging on to my teams last straw of dignity; I freely admit they were wank in most of the tournament.

I think you're overestimating England's animosity towards Argentina. If anything they're probably the second choice team of many an English football fan.
