Not only was the ban reason that he had been warned once before the same week, and nothing but that. James didn't seem to recognize the previous swears either, and yet again you're completely ignoring more than 50% of my OP.
James does not have to explain the reasoning behind every ban to the entire board, but nonetheless, he has already done so:
As per standard moderating procedure, I warned Sliver after his first rule transgression. After he contravened the warning only a few days later, he was banned.
Nor was this an isolated incident, in reviewing his posting history I have noticed a trend of low-content posting and abuse.
Clearly, his post history was taken into account prior to the warning
and the subsequent ban. Moreover, the fact remains that four of the posts I quoted were made after James issued that warn, so he has absolutely no excuse.
As for the rest of your post, it should be perfectly plain why I ignored it, and indeed it was quite charitable of me to do so. Frankly, your attempt to draw a comparison between levee/Ichi's posts and Silver's is laughable. Excessive profanity is not equatable with excessive font size, and I would hardly describe telling someone to "study more" as a denigrating attack.
Equally ridiculous is your attempt to equate the word 'crap' with 'fuck' or 'shit'. I'm pretty sure every major film/television censor in the world would disagree with you, something which is quite relevant given this site's 'PG-13' content policy. Silver's posts overstep the mark in this respect, whereas Ichi's and levee's certainly do not.
Silver was warned about his consistent and excessive profanity in the upper boards, ignored that warning, and his account was suspended as a consequence. His post history over the last few weeks supplies more than ample justification for that ban, and I think that's apparent to just about everyone here.
Gee, it seems like markjo ought to be either banned for membrating or made a mod for being on the ball. Tough call.
