Yes, I believe that GNU is UNIX
I don't know what you're implying, but you're probably wrong.

Everything is working fine for me. Fresh install, it's MUCH better than the previous versions.

Is Ubuntu UNIX?

No it is a Windows 7 plugin to make games run faster.

It could be because my processer speed is only 850 mghz.

Anywho. It's been running okay. One thing I didn't like was they changed the install process. While it was installing it did this thing were it was advertizing all the things Ubuntu does. Windows does this and that annoys me. It's like trying to make it more than it is. Like word processing is this new age wonder or something. I almost expected to see "Ubuntu works with your keyboard to help you type in exciting new ways!" Gah. Kind of lame. Oh, well.

I also don't like that 'ubuntu one' thing. It you can get 2 gb of online storage free but you can choose to upgrade for 10 dollars to 50 gb. This sales technique is why I try to use gnu/linux over the big guys. I hope this doesn't get out of hand.

Other than that I can't complain so far.

I downloaded it at work yesterday but forgot it.
Downloading it again now while I clean up my old CDs and make my storage a bit nicer to look at.
Gone.

Downloaded it last night.

It seemed to screw my network drivers up. So I tried to do a fresh install from disk. That didn't work so I had to reinstall Karmic and try again. Ho hum.

Actually, I've been running it for weeks with nary a hitch, and those few were caused by user error.

Well I installed it.  The ATI drivers work and so does everything else.

I installed WINE to play WoW but that's glitchy as hell so I gotta figure out how to fix that.

Also, I think the mail center deleted all my stored e-mails.  YEARS of e-mails gone.
