I still fail to see why this is big news.
The US stuck it's nose where it doesn't belong.  It supports Israel because we helped put it there and many hate Israel for various reasons.  Part of the reason is probably due to religious issues. 
We also were the ones who took out the old Iran government and helped put in the current one.

Basically, we think we're socially, morally, and culturally superior to the world and try to make everyone fit our view.

Fail. The video only showed the views of a few select representatives and hardly discounts the one of many reasons why 9-11 occured. The main recruiting force and drive behind Muslim terrorist activities is a fusion of religious zealotry and revenge against the West. Hinged upon the religious zealotry is the destruction of all other religions until only Islam is left. The Jews in Israel are a constant reminder of everything these radicals hate - The Western influence in the Middle East, religions other than Islam, and an invasion of Muslim land & holy places. Was that ever really "on the record" officially, or whatever?  I'm hardly a fan of Bush, but his denouncements of the terrorists as "hating our freedoms" were just political hyperbole.  If anyone really believed that the sole reason the terrorists attacked us was because they were evil monsters who ate kittens, then they're too stupid to be told the truth anyway.

Thats like asking why we should trust an adult after they told a single lie. Because a single action, like a lie, doesn't dictate the later actions without fail.

And quite simply - the reason why you are even in a home, with access to roads, and other marvels is because of your government. I do believe they've earned a bit of leeway. Simply saying our government can never be trusted is a sign of ignorance.
