16455 people have died from Swine Flu & everyone wants to wear a mask. 21.8 million people have died from AIDS/HIV & nobody wants to wear a condom. Ponder that, then discuss.

One is based on an irrational idea that wearing a mask is helpful in the preventing of swine flu in any place but a hospital and the other is strongly spread by the irrational bullshit of the Catholic church. You didn't say anything about vaccination of swine flu though, which is in fact a very useful thing to do, regardless of what the vaccination truthers would like you to believe.

No, the lie spread by the Catholic church that condoms increase the problem of aids is irrational Catholic bullshit. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/faith/article5923927.ece (ps-I didn't read this article before linking cause I gtg). Its been shown with multiple studies that condoms decrease the spread of aids and that abstinence only education is highly ineffectual.

Well, he's right when he says that abstaining from sex will stop AIDS.  He's wrong when he says that condom use increases the risk of AIDS.

That's true, but they're being deliberately vague by not specifying that.  Most people automatically contrast protected sex with unprotected sex, not abstinence.

Aren't most of the AIDS related deaths in poor, ignorant nations where condoms aren't widely available, people barely have enough money to eat, and the concept of germ theory hasn't even arrived let alone the concept of a virus?
