I did read it. I also think there's a possibility they're denying it cause it would make his life work questionable.

Why would it? The Theory of Evolution stands on it's own merits, without the need for Darwin to an atheist. Even if he was a pious Christian (which he obviously was not), it wouldn't change a thing.

Agnostic or Atheist. He died not believing in God. As I said, his religious views are of no consequence anyway. I only argue this, because it's deplorable how people try to make him a believer long after his death.
