I know, I know, I shouldn't be posting religious comics...

So more jobs are being lost at the end of the obama administration than at the end of the bush administration.

Someone needs to learn to label a graph.
I was going to say that. :(

That graph is confusing me.  Could someone please explain what it's saying and why it's wrong?

No, really.  The Y axis is labeled "Jobs lost", and the numbers shown are mostly in the negative.    Losing negative numbers of jobs would mean that jobs were gained (mathematically speaking, I know that doesn't make sense).  Obviously, we lost a lot of jobs in the recession, so I'm assuming that it's just some clunky double negative use.  Is that what the problem is here?  Technically, the Y axis should be labeled "Jobs"?

No, the number should be reversed.

Yes, that's exactly it. There existed a negative quantity of jobs in America at the end of the Bush administration.

Liberalism =! non-patriotism

I laugh at your skewed American spectrum, Obama is at least as right wing as parties like the Tories in the UK

Also, stop posting religious comics in the political comics section.

Do you guys think there's any left wing main-stream politicians in the US at all? I've never heard of any.

CR90, if you don't understand what Chris meant by "Tories", then you should look it up before assuming that he said something stupid.

New Democratic Party of Canada
Actual socialists ^^

Also, Chris is correct. Obama is a centrist even by American standards, and the average Democrat is lined up more or less with Canada's Conservative Party.

Here's an illustration from PoliticalCompass.org, which uses more of a European-Canadian political spectrum:

Perhaps I am mistaken, though. I have more experience with Canadian politics than with American.
Irregardless, what do you think of those links/graphs I provided? Obama is certainly centrist/right-ish by European/Canadian standard.

Plus, Obama isn't Canadian nor European, so the graph doesn't apply to him.

This is when CR90 has to be trollin'. It might interest you to know that our left-wing parties are the tip of the iceberg. If you go to many mainland European countries, you'll find that there are members of parliament from the Communist Party! That's right, I said the 'C' word  :o

Sigh, the conservative party is a centre-right party in the UK, famous for privatising the rail networks and supportive of private schools with policies very similar to Obama's. In fact, Obama has openly criticised David Cameron (leader of the Conservatives) as a political 'lightweight'

To the left of the Tories (Conservatives) are parties like the Liberal Democrats, the Green party and the socialist party. Take your political spectrum then imagine Obama as slap-bang in the middle and you have an idea about the difference in American/British politics

But enough about religion, MOAR COMICS!

The reality is that America is a country that is still emerging from McCarthy-era politics, so that to be a centralist by international standards is the equivalent of flying the red flag.
"I want truth for truth's sake, not for the applaud or approval of men. I would not reject truth because it is unpopular, nor accept error because it is popular. I should rather be right and stand alone than run with the multitude and be wrong." - C.S. DeFord
