Yeah, it does prove just how confused Tom is if he thinks that garden implements can be turned into a particle accelerator. You need several accelerator coils, a magnetic containment system, and a target area which is also protected from outside radiation in order to get a signal.
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the precipitate.

Nonsense, all you need is some garden hose, a dead squirrel and your trusty tin foil hat (If you're Tom Bishop of course)

I didn't say that there weren't any coils inside the hoses, or any electronics what-so-ever.

Gardening supplies were just used for much of the equipment. Buckets and gardening hoses with non-standard diameters, for example. Built in a shed over a weekend.

All I hope is that the LHC produces some work units for LHC@Home sometime

Keep telling yourself that, maybe it will be true someday.

I looked and I still didnt see a particle accelerator made out of garden hose. lol

It's obscured because of bendy light. Use binoculars and you'll bring it back.

I wish the LHC would stop stealing all the protons from the CLF at RAL  >:(

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
