I wish Palin was still in the runnin for 2012...would have been so fun to watch the collapse of the right...
Personally, I'm cheering for Palin. America had a good run, it's time to start over.
Palin is not starting over for the U.S.

Palin is nuclear war waiting to happen. SHE IS A GOD CRUSADER!
Exactly.

You notice the proper use of contractions, capitals, apostrophes? Try it sometime.

There are serious benefits to the one-world government dreamt up by NWO conspiracists, the end of wars, greater sharing of resources. Done right a OWG could be fantastic.

You would like to think that wars, poverty, sharing of resources could all be sorted out by our leaders now.  It is because people are power/money hungry and don't give a toss about others far removed from their own circumstances, despite the fact, we are all one in this world.  Sounds corny, but true.
Why do we fall back to earth? Because our weight pushes us down, no laws, no gravity pulling us. It is the law of intelligence.

I think Atheism will eventually lead to a semi-NWO....that, or self destruction will end us all.

I cant believe its Tom that posted this thread.  ::)

It seems pretty apparent to me that most every time he posts it is for the sake of causing anger/distress. Most of this forum is clearly siding with Obama (or at least, siding with Obama more than with any republicans), so him attacking Obama will cause the most anger/distress.

Not any more I don't. Obama had plenty of chances to get things done plus a huge mandate from the voters, and in my opinion he's wasted them.

mandate of the voters is not the same as have congress actually help. I am disappointed in the entire system right now. I think parties are the worst thing that happened to the country.

They all apparently believed he was destined for power and would be the one who transforms America. Not because of his intelligence; but because of the fabricated image he projected.

I think this sentence sums up the whole article quite nicely. You don't have to be smart, you just have to have a goal. Obama doesn't need those degrees or merits (well, formally he does), all he needs is support and opportunity. And if he's the face of a government who is truly trying to transform America, then what harm is that? Who cares who the president is as long as real change is being made. In fact, I'm pretty sure that, legislatively, the president has very little power.
Not directly perhaps, but if that was the case why were liberals blaming everything in the world on Bush? A bit of selective hearing there?

Well because you don't get it both ways. You can't have someone take credit for something someone don't do and then also have yourself NOT be blamed for something someone else does, in this situation of course.

As long as something good or productive is happening it shouldn't matter where it's coming from or how it happens.
Good for whom? Productive how? So if we shouldnt care...why do we have a constitution?

We have a constitution because we need a government. What kind of question is that?

Good isn't as subjective as I described it to be. Good is something like FDR's campaign against the depression, or the Civil Rights movement; something that at least TRIES to help everyone. Productive is taking that 'good' idea or concept and actually doing it.

I'm just trying to say, people put a lot of pressure on the President, as if he IS the government. He's not, but if people need someone as a public figure of 'hope' or 'change', and as motivation to accomplish that change then we shouldn't care WHO that person is. Congress may be more powerful in terms of law making, but when faced with a President with overwhelming public support, they WILL do what he wants, or the public will go apeshit. Even if that doesn't work the first time, or the second time, or even the third time, it WILL happen because whenever people realize that the reason they aren't getting their health-care or their tax breaks or their more efficient federal whatever is Congress, they'll do something.

So it doesn't matter who had the idea of private health-care or WHATEVER, it matters that it happens. It doesn't matter HOW the people get it, through executive orders or a bill or an amendment or a free handout, it matters that it HAPPENS.

Obama can the the dumbest, laziest, most incompetent person on the planet, but if over 150 million people will listen to what he says, he can actually do something.

Ah...So you must come from the "If it would save only one life, wouldnt it be worth it" school of public policy. Lets not look at the repercussions of unintended consequences, but the "intent". That is the most ludicrous thing I have ever seen. "Just do something, anything!!! And do it now!!!!!!" And damn the consequences.  What a maroon you are. Grow up, you cant be a good egg all your life.

No, actually quite the opposite. I'm tired of people praising the intent but not completing the action. And if it saves one life, what IS the purpose?

I have trouble getting my point across because I'm not a good writer. But I guess to clarify, when I say 'do something' I mean take good intentions and make them work. Personally I don't see any real consequences of public health care besides more taxes, which isn't unreasonable at all. It's true that Obama hasn't made any real progress yet, but shit guys, give him time. I don't remember Bush doing anything so spectacular in his first year.

Calling my own bluff here, I have no idea if that's actually true. I don't watch the news.
And thats the problem. You dont inform yourself, but support Obamacare because it "feels good".

True, it has mostly been driven by the congressional leadership. Speaking of which: Whad do you get when you cross the Speaker of the House with the Senate Majority Leader?

Is Obama Stupid and Lazy?

Tom, agree with most of this, but lazy not sure.

Educated in street smarts and survival skills - yes.
Educated scholastically / academically - NO.
Horse and pony show - yes.
Skilled at deception and Chicago bad politics - yes.
Able to think on his feet (sometimes) - definately yes when it comes to covering up.
Shady associations - yes.
Lazy, (pause) ... well - too lazy as well as stupid to lead properly, but not so lazy he can't manipulate to flim flam.  I suppose he had to get off his -ss to accomplish that.

However, I still want to know what happened to Obama's Moroccan heritage?  It has disappeared from websites.  He spoke of Moroccan ancestors and yet nothing on the web shows anything about it.  His 1st name is, according to one website, Swahili, but with Arabic origins, and his middle name is of Arabic origins.  Also according to his father's country, (Kenya) and his mother's origin (United States), and also where Barack is said to be born (Hawaii) - then how do you get Moroccan from this?  Additionally, his father was African (Kenya) who raised sheep with Muslims, and later Barack went to Indonesia (also mainly Muslims) for school in Jakarta, and that is why he has, so they say, "Muslim ties" which is hardly a reason to discount someone and claim he/ she has terrorist baggage.  A name is just a name, and one can't control what name one is given, but that still does not explain the Moroccan heritage.  I would love to get my hands on some old news footage of his speeches and other commentary by journalists when he was on the campaign trail.  I know they brought up Morrocan heritage then.
